Lovecraft lost
Busy week.
Went to Maine, rented a car, drove to Rhode Island, and attempted to locate H.P. Lovecraft's grave. Unfortunately, dark was falling just as I got to Providence. I got lost on the way to the cemetery and gave up.
The NOCtopus is furious with me over this failure.
We (me and the NOCtopus) walked around downtown on old brick roads and went to a great bookstore instead. We also went to a very evil mall and had some lousy food near it. Overall, I would say Rhode Island has been fairly visited, but I regret not having spent more time and would like to go again someday.
In other, more important news: Penelope has made her first honor roll. I am so proud! Even more than her grades, I'm proud of her teacher's comments about her perseverance and willingness to try things that she's not comfortable with. Those traits will get her much farther in life than straight A's.
