This sums up my entire week.
Yes. That's the birds way back there by the window. Can you see me standing in the doorway??
This is me after a day of moving, physical therapy, and cool stuff like blotting up an entire oil-pan full of used motor-oil that spread in the garage. It was everywhere and spreading fast... We used kitty litter to get it up off the garage floor. Took it up like a charm, there was just so MUCH of it, it took about two hours to get up. As you can see, I'm tired. And that cat has got a personality! She is very vocal, complaining bitterly if she is deprived of a treat, she begs at the table, and uses us as her personal pillows. She's taken over our house. I don't mind her, it's actually kind of fun having a cat around, and she is declawed and very old so she can't do much more than stare balefully at my birds. Her owner will be staying with us until she finds an apartment, and that isn't looking so hopeful for her. She's not a bad houseguest, it's just a bit crowded with everything still in boxes and all.
Everything has been utterly crazy. I have doctors' or physical therapy appointments nearly every day of the week, and unpacking galore. Trip to Utah was great. I made a new friend. This lady was amazing to talk to, she grew up in New Zealand. I love old people, they are so beautiful.
Three more weeks of disability. I will probably have it extended out two more weeks. Not cool. That would put me back to work in NOVEMBER. Ugh. *smacking forehead*
Things just seem to be a daze, being in Germany, a wedding the next day after getting off the plane, and then straight into the moving frenzy, and I STILL keep taking the wrong exit to my old apartment when exiting the highway and wake up sometimes still not sure where I am.
Sick of stupid drugs... I met my new physical therapist tonight, he seems like a pretty decent guy, just looks like he's 13 years old.
PT: "This might hurt a little."
Me: "You aren't going to be able to hurt me, nuh-uh."
PT: "I love a challenge!"
(5 minutes of poking and tugging and digging in my back)
Me: "It's a damned train wreck isn't it!!"
PT: (reluctantly) "Yes... it's really... bad. Shouldn't be like this after over a year. (suddenly upbeat) But we can fix it!!"
