worthy follow up to the series!
Well I got a chance to preview the new Die Hard movie, and I must say I was totally blown away.
There are many people who complained about the PG-13 rating ruining it because of all the non-cussing, trust me, there will be enough "Holy Shits" from the audience to make up for it.
Bruce Willis reprises his role as all-american bad-ass John McClain and delivers a fantastic performance. The love of this character by everyone can be summed up by the fact that this preview was sold out and a fight almost broke out outside the theatre for the last few tix. Dect. McClain is a guy we can all relate too, he doesn't wow us with Kung-Fu or need special weapons, he is just plain tough and does what he has to do. This tenacity is what attracts everyone to his character; the one-liners and smart-ass barb doesn't hurt either.
The movie doesn't focus on his now ex-wife, though the constant Genarro vs. McClain element is there with the re-introduction of daughter Lucy. Though it adds a great touching and emotional element to the film, it doesn't take away from any of the raw gut-wrenching action. The effects alone make this film one of the best I have seen in a long time.
Trust me on this, go to Fandango, print your tix and blaze a trail to the theatre for this. I am going to see it again this weekend.
