So I apparently really suck at updating my journal.
I suppose I've started to_day_i as a cop out. I don't think I've made a proper update with words at all this year. Anyway.
School sucks. I have no motivation. I am only gritting my teeth and endeavoring to make it through the semester with all A's.
The 2nd floor of the library was closed for two weeks while we got new carpet. That was sweet action. No patrons, physical labor, mmmm... Working check-in for 5 hours straight made me want to kill people, though.
A fellow in my drawing class named Chip came into the library one day and asked me on a date. I had liked him since last semester, and had suspected that he liked me as well, so I wasn't surprised. I accepted and we went to see Children of Men, which is an AWESOME movie. We then went to BAM and got coffee. I had a good time and told him I;d like to go out again when he asked. But then, in typical Beth fashion, I lost all interest in him and started avoiding him. skipped my drawing class that Monday, and talked to him as little as possible on Wednesday. He came into the library to see me on Saturday, but I had already made plans. (I went to go see Smokin' Aces with Ashley, Zach, Bambi, and Tater, It was surprisingly good. Then everyone came over to my house and we played board games. Good times.)
Then, I realized what a idiot I was being. Chip is a really great guy and I have absolutely no reason not to like him. Plus, I can use him to get over someone that I am still not over but totally should be. So, today I asked him if he wanted to go bowling this weekend, and he said he did. So that's that.
The weekend before last, I went to Lexington for Alex's birthday. He had a roller skating party. I had not been roller skating in probably 10 years. It was so fun, though, I am thinking of doing that for my birthday.
I also got a laptop on Friday. It is a Mac, which I had never used before. It is rather different. The only thing that sucks about it is that I also have Linus installed on here so whenever I am using that, I can't right click or use the delete key. It's rather frustrating. However, being able to sit in bed and be on the computer, as I am doing now, is totally worth the money I laid down for this baby. Plus I will be able to take it to school and entertain myself when I have a 2 hour break.
I have been totally tired all the time. I had to struggle to keep my eyes open during my 8:00 class this morning and at 8:30 tonight, I was ready to go to sleep. I am making myself stay up though, because it is getting to the point of ridiculousness. I am also constantly thirsty. Whatev.
