food for thought ...
so i'm reading this thanksgiving-themed article, and i'm thinking what an awkward position teachers are put in--especially elementary teachers--when it comes to that kind of stuff. thanksgiving has become a great holiday for family and friends, and for realizing and enjoying our surroundings, for food and fun, etc, but when you think about where it all came from and how mixed up the story has gotten ... it's just sobering i guess.
buuuuuuuuut i can't say that won't stop me from stuffing my face tomorrow and having a good time with everyone. i'm really excited for ethan's first thanksgiving, even though he can't really "feast" like we can, lol. happy thanksgiving guys :)
