Hmmmmm I think most everyone has heard the stories of late.... if you haven't, then you should. Kelly said to me the other day that the strangest shit happens to me. It's true I always seem to be on the outskirts of drama... for me at least it's not in the middle of the drama.
So most people have heard about the guy beating up his girlfriend in front of my house about a month ago. It is from here on out to be referred to as : The Great Beat Down at Beth's (it is going to stay "at beth's" unless there is actually a fight at my house then it will switch to "in front of beth's")
Then there was the domestic disturbance (same people but at their own house this time) earlier this month. It is from here on out to be referred to as : The Great Beat Down. Me & Kelly called the police and reported it. My name & address in a police file: occasion #1, crime: domestic disturbance
Most recently (as in this week) was the fire next door. This is the one that a majority will not have heard yet. I'm sure when I see you next, you'll hear it. It is from here on out to be referred to as: The Smoke Out. Several names were tossed around trying to fully capture the experience. I thought about "the roof, the roof, the roof is on fire" or " burning down the house.." But I never actually saw flames (the pyro in me was sad, the adult was like 'thank god my house is safe') but there was a lot of smoke, and of course you can still smell it. And to top it all off: My name & address in a police file: occasion #2 (in the same month, mind you), crime: arson
LOL. life is certainly never dull. And now there's been a news story about either gangs or gangly teens vandalizing and burning cars in driveways in Raleigh. Sometimes they steal the car and it's found later burned, sometimes they light em up right there in the driveway... grrrreeeaaattt. SO my theory: crime is in Raleigh this month.... next month, who knows it could be one of your neighborhoods... Thank goodness tomorrow starts Sept. ;o)
Please be safe and vigilate out there & if you get a funny feeling DON'T IGNORE IT ! Better to feel stupid later than beaten, dead or guilt ridden. Love to you all
