This was mostly due to all the bags she was carrying; her grandmother had first given her all sorts of tofu to bring, and then given her money to visit the Junes supermarket because 'the poor dear probably won't have the energy to do the shopping if she's as ill as you say she is', and then she'd found a grumpy-looking teddy bear near the register that reminded her of Kanji and she'd just had to buy it as a gift, and then she'd run into some classmates who passed along get-well presents...
She made it to the door eventually, and spent a minute contemplating trying to press the bell with her nose before lifting one leg and kicked on the door a few times gently by way of knocking.
