sunny, cloudy, sunny, cloudy, make up your mind!!
The weather was scorchio at the weekend. A-M couldn't believe it but we told her "of course it's hot, you're on your holidays". So she was supposed to go home on Sunday but since I started my day by downing the double rum and pineapple left over from the previous night I knew the day could only go one way. She packed her stuff while repeatedly saying "Oh! I wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow! I'd love to stay another night" I said nobody really has to do anything. We went for a drive, taking the scenic route to Dublin, checking out possible accommodation for my college days. Got something to eat and faffed around so much that A-M missed her train. oh dear, we were all devastated. Only one thing for it...Drink the beer we had brought in the car with us, go watch the planes taking off and landing at Dublin airport (which is pretty darn scarey but cool as!) then go back to our place and start a poker tournament while waiting for my other sis E to arrive.
E arrived with a bottle of wine and things got out of hand! We had to take time out of the tourno to do a wedding dress fitting before we got too steamboat. Then it was back to the game, jugs of "fruit" punch, wine and beer. Wine before beer makes you feel queer but I just felt normal.
We finally went to bed around 5.00am on Monday because A-M decided she'd do a vigil so she could make the 6.00am bus to get to work that morning but then got too tired and thought a cat-nap would do. Then we all woke up at around 10am. Ever so slightly late for the bus. E's fiancè came to pick her up. Then we went for a drive to dublin and left A-M off at the train. She made it this time! Boohoo.
