VERY well put. I heard on NPR that his high school tried to give him some award and he refused it because he said high school sucked for him. I liked that.

Awesome introspective..thanks. I love "The Breakfast Club" especially...everybody was a loser - and an activist - in their own way.

I remember renting the video and my dad saying "that's not what high school is like!" and my sister and I responding with a resounding "Oh, but it is!!"

you said it the best way I have ever heard.

I too found myself being more effected by this man's leaving this world. He was one of my top 3 film makers I ALWAYS wanted to meet, and talk to.

Himself, his films, his writings - such a part of mine, our, lives.
