St. Mary and St. George's Coptic Orthodox Church
So I went to a Coptic Orthodox Church this evening. I know, an excellent way to spent my Saturday night as a young college student. For those of you who don't know what this is, it is the Christian church in Egypt. I will admit, some of it was very foreign to me and I was a little off about the whole thing. They seperate men and women and women have to cover their heads. Not totally uncool. Kind of interesting. We did not stay for the actual sermon but just for the prayers before hand. 35 minutes of prayer. Standing in heels for that long is kind of annoying. I should work on my ability to stand in one place, in heels, for long periods of time. Anyways, I had some fun. Met some new people who are religion majors as well so it was nice to see some fresh faces. But I am wicked tired so yeah.
