It was nice but at the end of the day I've waited 8 years for...eye smex. *shrugs* I want to be more excited but I'd like something more substantial. I'd like for them to actually talk. Hell, I'd LIKE for them to kiss. They are the only Team 7 pair to not have lip action (NaruSaku gets CPR, SasuNaru gets the kiss in the beginning). I'd like to see something between the two that might actually mutually love each other. I don't know how much further he plans to take this but I am worried that this is all we'll get for another year or two and I'm just ready for him to go ahead and end the pairing wars already.
Hey nightmistress. This is Butterfly God from Narutoforums fc. I didn't know you were on lj too. Cool.
While mutually excited as I am about 685 with everyone else, I feel you at the same time. I sincerely am very ready for closure myself and want no more do-si-doing. Cut to the wick already. If he can do it for NH, he can do it for SS. NH in my eyes is a done deal, there's no question in my mind about it anymore, and I don't even ship it, or care about it happening or not. SS is where my investment is and like the old saying goes, there's no time like the present. SS is is ready for its close up, Mr. Kishimoto.
Hi there! Long time no see! I hope things are going well with you. I use this site very rarely but I remembered there was a forum here and wanted to check to see if someone posted it. I don't follow the manga anymore unless pairing stuff comes up so I don't think I can contribute much. I've been lurking at NF, but I am not quite as excited as the rest because Kishi can be a nasty tease and this may very well be all we get, so I didn't want to be a Debbie Downer. *If* we get more GOOD stuff in the next few chapters I might pop in but I'm not holding my breath. It's just funny because another ship of mine finally became canon from a book series I started around the same time as Naruto. It'd be nice if that could happen for the Naruto ships too. But again, not holding my breath. If Naruto can't even have a decent convo with Hinata after she confessed to him 5 years ago (my god I can't believe it's been that long), then I'm not getting my hopes up.
I believe I am one of the few hold outs who still uses lj regularly. I never even had a myspace and I dont use fb.
To be honest, I get your position. If the rest of the manga didn't captivate me so thoroughly, though no paragon of story telling, I may have quit it long ago. I'm a completist by nature, so I'm finishing this regardless. So while I'm optimistic, I'm also realistic. Naruto has milked this subplot for all its dramatic worth, and I can only hope the writer has realized that.
I'm mostly on facebook and have my own blog and I frequent Goodreads, but there's something for everybody! Yeah it was hard to pull away and that's probably why I stayed around for as long as I did. And it's probably why I sort of come back to see what's going on. I do want to know how it ends after all. I like finishing things too even if it's terrible. That's what's happening with me and True Blood right now. Thank GOODNESS this last season only has 10 eps.
I am a huge Sookie Stackhouse fan, but only of the book series. I like to pretend thr HBO adaptation doesn't exist. It's so off canon, it might as well be something else entirely. And I so called that ending it hurts.
