Title: Leave it Alone
Author: Chibi
Pairing: Sasuke and Naruto
Warnings: Yaoi, pre-teen attempts at lemon-ish activity, spoilers to current manga arc, angst
Notes: Got the idea after reading… some chapter of the manga, not sure which one, and the idea of Sasuke and Naruto being curious about some adult activities and being absolutely clueless was stuck in my head ^^ And I felt like writing canonverse fic, which I haven’t done in ages, and randomly, one day, I missed the old days of Naruto back when SasuNaru was all about running up the tree the fastest. Man, those were the days…
Technically, it hadn’t been sex.
If you consider penetration as the main ingredient of sex then Sasuke and Naruto have never done “it.”
Looking back, it makes Sasuke laugh.
It had been so utterly ridiculous, nothing like the “first times” written about in books. If their first time was ever to be written in a book it would be a mess full of insecurity and hesitation with no real reason behind it; just two overly curious--or overly bored--boys sitting up in bed one night.
He tries to remember how it even came up but its fuzzy, though he remembers the moment taking place at Naruto’s house because he remembers Naruto’s unmade bed. He assumes that it was a training session that ended too late in the evening because back then all they were concerned about was outdoing each other.
Part of him misses those days, back when things were simple--eating ramen faster than Naruto then throwing up afterwards.
He isn’t quite sure who touched who first but he likes to think that he made the first move--outdoing Naruto once again. He remembers that there had been no kissing involved, just touching, because they were too embarrassed to admit that they had no idea how to even start a “real” kiss--though they knew tongue was involved somehow. Touching was easy enough, at least it was for Sasuke, because it wasn’t hard to figure out what was supposed to be touched and how to touch it--he had done it to himself before once… maybe twice.
He remembers that Naruto had been wearing that really goofy sleeping cap with the wide eyes and buck teeth. It sort of made Sasuke feel like a creep, like he was doing this to some defenseless kid who didn‘t know any better. But Naruto’s constant squirming and whimpering urged him to continue despite the child-like night cap and soon Sasuke was asking Naruto to touch him too. It was foolish to think that Naruto would move slow, because Uzumaki Naruto doesn’t do anything slowly. He’s impatient by nature and wants things now--right now!--and that need to have things right away seemed to multiply in the bedroom.
Sasuke tried to stay in control because back then--and even now--he had an obsession with control. He was Uchiha Sasuke, the top of the class and the only kid in the village who could make a girl melt when he ignored her. But something about Naruto always made him break loose, made him show another emotion besides dark and brooding. But that night he could at least blame it on Naruto’s hand moving too fast. They were both moaning, and the sound of their voices echoing off the walls made them react to each other even more. They didn’t quite understand why, they didn’t really know what turn-on or foreplay or other words found in Kakashi’s book meant. There was nothing sexy or erotic about the moment, they simply touched each other until they reached what they later learned was an orgasm, but at the time it was a little bit disgusting to see another boy’s semen sticking to their fingers. Sasuke immediately looked around for something to wipe his hand with while Naruto, who was always too curious for his own good, lifted his hand and lightly licked at his fingers.
What are you doing?! Sasuke asked, horrified, and Naruto just said something about seeing it in a book once--definitely a book he shouldn’t have been reading. What does it taste like? He wasn’t quite sure why he wanted to know, because it wasn’t like he was going to do the same thing. Naruto blinked, licked his fingers again, and said I’m not quite sure. It was quite a site, seeing the great Uchiha Sasuke blush, and like an embarrassed five-year-old the only comeback he had was idiot, then he wiped his hand on Naruto‘s blanket and watched the white substance smear over the fabric like it was some kind of dead bug… gross. Naruto licked his finger one more time, not nearly grown-up enough to suck on all of his fingers after touching someone, then wiped his hand on the blanket too.
Afterwards the two of them laid in bed together, silent, and not quite sure what to say to break the silence. It was Naruto who made the first move and kissed Sasuke. It was short, much shorter than the kiss in the classroom but not nearly as embarrassing with a crowd of pre-teens watching them. There was something very satisfying about the kiss, and to this day, sometimes, when Sasuke closes his eyes he can feel those lips against his.
Sasuke opens his eyes and lets the memory fade, his mind drifting back to the present as he stands in the middle of Naruto‘s home, the other boy off training in another attempt to bring the bastard back home or whatever Naruto likes to call it these days.
If only he knew that Sasuke was standing in his bedroom right now.
Naruto’s home still has a subtle smell of ramen, chicken and egg mixed with noodles, acting as a permanent cologne that stains the air. Sasuke can’t help the faint smile on his face. Throughout all the battles and sacrifices, deaths and separations, this place has not changed at all--there’s even a carton of milk left on the table, still open, and well past the expiration date.
Naruto’s bed is still unmade, and always will be, because what’s the point if I’m getting back into bed after training, Naruto would say. The covers are bundled at the end of the bed and the sheets are loose around the corners of the mattress, proving that Naruto sleeps just as wildly as he does everything else. It use to drive Sasuke insane when they would sleep together, because when he woke up in the morning there was always an arm across his neck and a foot using his stomach like a pillow. Sasuke doesn’t remember when him sleeping over became a common event, but after that night his feet seemed to work on auto-pilot and sometimes he’d find himself at Naruto’s door for no real reason, and at some point he couldn’t sleep without feeling Naruto’s light snores brush against the back of his neck.
Even now, sometimes, it takes him a while to fall asleep. When his team asks him about it he dismisses it, not willing to admit that on some nights he wants a loud-mouth ninja from Konoha to be spooned against his back.
Sasuke steps outside of Naruto’s house just in time to see another building in Konoha crumble to pieces, another explosion rocking the streets and causing the villagers to run around in a panic. His team is outside, working together to destroy a large building that’s right outside of Naruto’s window. They are successful and the building is nothing but broken bricks and dust, adding to the scattered remnants of Konoha. Karin is the first to notice him, as usual, and says, “You forgot to destroy that building,” and she cocks her head towards Naruto’s house.
Sasuke looks back and doesn’t hesitate, his voice leaving no room for argument.
“We’re leaving this one alone.”
