Last night...

Well... I invited Sakura over last night...

I probably shouldn't have.

And no I did not... err.. WE did not do anything inappropriate.

When I let her in, she was all happy and giggly. I had a headache so I didn't really care. She quickly got to work though. She brought some cough medicine as well as cold medicines... I don't know anything about that stuff so I never had it in my house. She gave it to me and some orange juice to drink it down with.

While I was stood by the kitchen door, she was busy making me chicken noodle soup. It smelled nice... kind of like my mom's cooking.

"Here!" she said happily. The carrots and meat were chopped unevenly, but it didn't make the soup taste horrible. In fact, even with the irregularities, it tasted pretty good.

I think she was surprised to see that I ate it all and asked for a second sheepishly. I didn't eat breakfast and lunch so I was a bit hungry I guess.

I was feeling warm and drowsy from the medicine and food. But Sakura wanted to see the stars for some reason. I didn't see the point, we can see the stars from the window right?

But she insisted. And... I'm glad she did. Though it was cold, I was starting to have some feaver and the cold wind chilled me down some. And... it was different to look at stars behind a barred window and to look at them in open sky... somehow... I didn't feel trapped... and felt more... free...

Wrapped in the wool blankets... we talked. I'm not sure what we talked about because I was too sick to remember. I think it was something a bit serious... and I opened up a lot more then I usually did... or should have.

I think I said things I normally would keep it locked up. But I was feaverish. I wasn't thinking right. And I was sleepy from the medicine.

I do wish I could remember our conversation.

I don't know when I dosed off... but... all I remember for sure was... that I was warm for the first time in long while.

PS - Sakura, Thanks for the remaining chicken soup you left for breakfast. I heated up today and ate it.
