2008
With only a few days left in 2008, it's time to reflect on what a year it has been.
Professionally with my two "real" jobs....nothing much has changed. UPS I gained loads of seniority as many people moved on or quit. The Dr. office pretty much remained the same.
Personally in 2008, I had a pretty good year. My self confidence has gone up a little since April ;) I've had a few sour moments, as most people have, but overall I cannot complain! I got to witness one of my good friends from a couple yrs ago marry the most perfect man for her (congrats jesy and matt again) I traveled a lot, I met loads of new people, made contact with people that I hadnt spoke to in ages, I made friends with people I never thought I'd be friends with, other friendships grew stronger, someone I originally thought of as only a friend has turned out to be the person I needed most. <3
Professionally with wrestling....who would have thought I'd be where I am now. I officially gave up ring announcing. I started out with OCW in January against Nevaeh and it has been non-stop bookings (besides April-June) ever since. I finished out the year over the past weekend with a triple threat match against Hailey Hatred and AngelDust for Mega which I was thought was a pretty good match. Everyone else seemed to enjoy it as well.
A few stand out moments for me this year as far as wrestling is concerned in March getting to wrestle someone I respect greatly what she has done for womens wrestling -- Allison Danger. It wasn't one on one..and we actually kind of worked together to take out Ashley and Lorelei Lee in a four way elimination battle, but that was a huge honor for me. Danger quickly became not only an inspiration to me, but we even formed a friendship.
Also, in August Sara Del Rey personally asked me to wrestle her at ROH. It may not have been a long match, but I was shocked she asked me to do it and even if it was only 12 seconds it was a GREAT expierence and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
In Sept due to Danger pushing me a lot I got my demo tape sent into Shimmer. A few weeks after I did that I was apart of Sparkle, Shimmer's pre-show. Not bad for only a year and a half into the business as a wrestler.
I have so many people to thank for 2008 and things people did or helped me to accomplish this year. Pretty much you know who you are and if I would have something to thank you for or not because to the people who I am so grateful to I have already told many times this year how much I appreciate and love them for the support, help, love, and friendship they have given to me.
As for 2009 I cannot wait to see what it has in store for me. Ups and downs I'm sure will happen, but the year has lots of hope for it.
I start off the first weekend of January with NWA in Michigan. The following weekend I'm in New Jersey for the FIRST ever all women's show for JAPW. In April OCW will present Ladies Night 3. Hopefully, I will be apart of Shimmer at some point this year.
I'm going to head back out West to Las Vegas in April.
June I'm planning on headin down to Nasvhille for a week.
November I have another vacation that I am planning but I dont know yet where I will end up. Maybe Philly. I'd like to go train with Daziee Haze at the Shimmer school which I do believe is the ROH school as well.
It's year of big plans. A year that hopes and dreams are still going to be pursued in ways only I can do.
Plus I hope all my relationships continue to grow from friendship to love...
