So, Monday night Chris called and wanted Lena to go with him and his mom and her cousins to see the cows on the sixteenth street mall. Well, the last time that Lena was around Margaret, she called Lena a thief! She said that Gabe's video games were missing and that she had seen Lena with them. Lena told her that she didn't have them. Margaret told her that she new Lena had them and that she didn't know where they were but she had to put them back. Lena was so upset that I called Margaret and left her a message asking her how she could treat her own granddaughter like that. She called me back and I didn't answer and she left me a message saying that I had taught my daughter well! Anyway, Lena decided that she didn't want to go over there again. Because of this Lena didn't want to go with them. Chris and Lena were very upset, so I said that I would pick Chris up the next day and bring him over to spend time with her. When I took him home he asked if Lena and I would go in so that Margaret could apologize to Lena. I told Chris this was not the only problem, that Margaret has treated her like shit her whole life and that it was up to Lena. Well, Lena said yes to please Chris, but asked that I go in with her. I said ok. When we got to the door Margaret said "Carrie, get off my property"! I said come on Lena. She came with me with Chris trying to get us to come back. Lena said "if she can't be here, I'm not going to be either, she's never done anything to you". We got to the truck, but Max (Chris' dog) had ran out jumped back in the truck. I was trying to get him out and he jumped in the back. Chris came to the truck and I was telling him I was sorry, when Margaret came out to the truck! Chris was in the door, so I couldn't just drive away. Margaret said "I'm sorry about the incident Lena. And that you were upset with me"! The woman seems to think that's the only thing she has done! Well, Lena said ok and I drove off. Once we were on the highway I had Lena call Chris (I figured that if Margaret answered she would hang up on me) Chris answered and Lena gave me the phone. I told him that was the last straw and that that woman was never going to touch my child again or see her! I told him I was sorry, but this wasn't my fault, it was hers. I told him that anytime he wanted me to pick him up and bring him over I would. He said ok. I hate that woman, I really do! The only thing I ever did to spite her was to marry and then divorce his son! As a matter of fact that must not have been that bad. He still loves me and I him, and we are still friends, and he would do anything he is capable of to help me!! I'm sorry, if he can not get along with me (and I he) enough that we got a divorce, but we are still friends, that doesn't indicate such a bad person on my part! We just don't work as a couple!
Ok, so Crystal is grounded until Saturday. Well, Tuesday night Mom lets Cody come over and stay the night! She didn't even tell me that it was happening until he showed up. (Of course she was in great pain and feeling totally pitiful, so if I said one word she would have acted like I was attacking her when she was down!) Great punishment. And of course this makes Mom out to be the good guy again. The next day she lets her go outside and hang out with her friend Twila. This actually has continued so that now Cody is still here and staying the night again! I got to the point that when Mom said that Crystal shouldn't be answering the phone since she is grounded and can't use it and that I needed to tell her that, I told Crystal that Mom said she couldn't answer the phone. I am not taking credit for Mom's decisions on what Crystal should do or not do anymore! Then it even went on more that Mom said that she could be off grounding tomorrow instead of Saturday. I just said whatever!
Today I took Crystal to a doctor's appointment and the truck died in the parking structure. I don't know what's wrong with it! It's still there. Tomorrow Crystal's friends, Frankie and Michelle, are going to come over and get me so that we can take the battery out of the truck and take it to an auto parts store and have it tested so that I know for sure if that's the problem or not. I hope it is, but I don't really think that it is. Even if it is, I don't get paid until Monday, so I won't be able to get a new battery until then.
Tonight Lena went for a walk with her boyfriend, Elijah. She lost track of time and called me when she should have been home. I said that was ok. She then called and asked if she could walk him to the bus stop. I said ok. Well, an hour later she still wasn't home. I called her and she said that they had to walk down the sixteenth street mall because the shuttles were full. Anyway, I told her that she had to come home now because I needed to make supper. Because of all this, supper was not until after 7. Later I was in the bedroom with Mom and asked her if I could use her computer to find a phone number. She made a point of lowering a letter that she was writing. She never does that so I knew there was something that she was griping about. Curiosity got the better of me and I looked without her knowing. She said I "took forever to make supper tonight." I "think this is my house and" I "make the rules. WRONG!!!" Fuck that! I was waiting on Lena, and as a matter of fact she was napping and I wasn't going to interrupt her sleeping for dinner when she's not feeling good!
I swear, most days I just wish I wasn't alive!
