Much overdue update

It has been way too long since I posted at all, let alone something more personal. And I have had a busy past few weeks! Not long after I last posted, I celebrated my birthday. It was a very special birthday for two reasons. The first was that I was back home in Minnesota for the first time in six years, so got to actually see my parents and Kris on my actual birthday. The second was that for the first time, I had a wonderful man who I loved in my life, which made the celebration of another year even more enjoyable. The Saturday night before my birthday was  heliodromos's and my time to spend together, and we had a great dinner out and then picked up some the delicious dessert from Cafe Latte.   We had a relaxed day together on my b'day and took a walk by Minnehaha Falls before meeting my fam at Bucca's for a big meal.  I received many phone calls and emails from friends, which made me feel extremely loved and appreciated.  I also recently got to spend some long-overdue time with  thirdthoughts, which was great.  I am so excited for her about their impending house purchasing project.

Last weekend Mr. Wonderful and I went out to Boston to visit Marie & Sherman and Katie & Jason.  We had fantastic weather on Saturday and spent time by the beach in Marshfield, MA where Marie's birthmother Moirna has a lovely beach house.  Sunday we had brunch with a law school friend of mine at Veggie Planet in Harvard Square and then Norm caught the Vikings game with the guys while I got in some good girl talk with Marie & Katie.  They loved Norm!  Sunday night the two of us took the T to the North End for some delicious Italian food.  Monday we explored Harvard Square and I showed Norm the law school campus, and we then had lunch with Norm's Aunt Claire and Uncle George, who are extremely cool and worldly retired folks.

Work has been going well, although things are picking up (the honeymoon must nearly be over!) and getting busier.  I continue to have a great time with my new friend Sarah, who is also relatively new at the firm and to Minnesota.  We have an uncanny amount in common, which is fun, and the work days are that much more pleasant to have someone to bounce things off of and grab coffee with.  She also happens to live close to me in Minneapolis, which is awesome for hanging out.

So that's the "craic" with me as they say.  I am so lucky; life is extremely good!
