Wetterling leading Bachmann by 8%
Fantastic news in the Star Trib today. The newspaper is reporting that Patty Wetterling is leading Michele Bachmann by 8% points, and pulling many more independents' votes than the right-wing extremist Bachmann. This is terrific news. Sounds like this seat has a good chance of being an awesome Dem pickup -- hopefully one of many -- just three weeks from today.
Update: This article is about Bachmann and a local church getting into hot water for the pastor's blatant endorsement of her in violation of the IRS guidelines for nonprofits. But it evidences that Bachmann is at least claiming to be on a God-driven path to Congress. Imagine the self-centeredness that she must have to think that in the wake of such worldly turmoil and suffering, a divine creator would make her candidacy a priority. Sheesh. Interesting to think, then, what will be the explanation for her loss?
