SO yes I am still alive... hence the purpose of this post.
On the other hand, my goal as of recent (about a month ago) is to run the PF Chang's Rock and Roll Marathon in January. To be honest, I'm never going to be able to run the 26 miles, so I'm trying to reach the 13 mile mark and complete the half marathon. I started running gradually about a month ago with one or two miles a couple times a week. Made it up to 5 miles when I was back in WI, which was an accomplishment with all the wind and hills and all... Then I got super super sick and I just couldn't shake it for a couple weeks so I gave up the running and succumbed to working massive overtime (over 60 hrs a week). But I'm 100% now and couldn't sleep this morning so decided going for a run would be a good idea. IPod charged, shoes laced, decided to give it a go and run until my little legs couldn't take it anymore... then walk said booty home. I was figuring I could do the run/walk combo for about 5 miles, maybe 6 before feeling less runners high and more like dying. Nope. Managed to run/walk 8 miles this morning! Go me! (Not meant to brag but thats a damn accomplishment...)
In conclusion, now I have this super runner's high and a whole lot of energy to expend... on what? Most likely cleaning and errands... I know sooo exciting. But that's about it around here. Hope all is well with everyone!
