It all begins on Tuesday. Me, Eric, Justin, and Mclean have a major overhaul at Central. First we started off relatively easy (when compared to the rest of the day) with moving a row of chairs. Not like one chair at a time kinda thing; like each chair was connected into 1 big row. Carried those from the stage to the balcony (fun fun). From there, we moved TVs bigger than my body from right by the stairs to some room right next to the balcony. Somehow, I got the short end of the stick and had the end to myself and going backwards down the stairs as the other 3 had the sides. That felt great lemme tell ya. So after 3 stacks of 3 of those, we decided "Hey, let's do more since we can." Actually it was more inferred by Mclean that since we were there, we're doin it. So after that we went down to the main floor and started moving those things that go behind the bands to help their sound get into the audience. For some reason, they were made of wood, which isn't the lightest material on the face of the planet. Nowadays they're plastic and a shitload easier to move. Ours weren't. There were 18? of them and we had to go 1 at a time. Until me and Justin decided to get "smart" and take 2 at once. k me being semi-smart (smart being taken away after this experience) should realize 2 = 100 pounds + 3 flights of stairs = HEAVY!!! Well, I didn't so I was pumped and ready to go. I only made it up 2 of the 3 flights of stairs. During this process, I cut my side of my fingernail and the inside of a different fingernail is bleeding. Kinda a neat thing to see though. So we took those, then the poles that were about 6 feet long that went with them. Then came the stage stuff. We moved risers that were solid solid wood down 3 stairs and into a room. Fun process. We put them in 1 big stack, which got taller with every riser we put on it (DUH). Well, by a time, one of us had to jump on top of the stack and guide it on. Guess who that lucky person was for most of the time. Well lucky me lost some blood that usually goes to the brain because it's now going to muscle. We got it all set, then we dropped it on my foot. Didn't hurt, but stuck. So I pulled and only my foot came. Shoe stayed. So I got my shoe out and we got the riser all set again. So they told me to move my feet. Well, I did, but there was a gap that was big enough for a leg that my leg and only my leg (no one else's) found. So I'm stuck there and got out. Got the riser set again and dropped it on my other foot. Needless to say, I was no longer the top of the stack guy. Ended the night with lighter stuff (still weighing in at at least 60 pounds). We moved some stage stuff from the back of the stage to the docks to the basement. Very cold. Got in trouble for being so late (when don't I get in trouble). Nothin major happened punishment wise so life went on.
Yesterday, helped Eric at some SADD (students against drunk driving) dance. Not many people were there so I didn't try to horribly hard. That and because Joe and Justin were also there. Justin is fine with me because I learn a lot from how he DJs that I can usually use on some other dance. Joe just sucks. We usually let him play 1 song at a time after we play 3 or 4. Finished that up and came home and slept till about 5. Went running, came home and watched Jordan while Mom and Tyler went to Tyler's basketball game. Most of the rest of the day involved watching Tyler and Jordan while Mom shopped and/or talking to Amanda. Went over to my Grandparent's house and helped them build a workbench for my Grandpa and just kinda spent some time with them being warm. It was fun.
Guess I get to go shop for friends, which is a scary thought. Definitely not used to that. Might go and try to sleep but who knows. Will probably wait for Sam to come back because we might actually get to talk for once in like a forever and a half :-D. Definitely great.
So many things seem one way and are another that I am at a loss of what to do.
