I'm not so sure about summer anymore.
So after my break back in Iowa I'm packing to leave again. Only this time I know I have everything to look forward to, except I know I'm going to miss a few things/people even more. I just get back and adjust to everyone's schedule so I can see my friends and have the time of my life crammed into a few hours, just to leave them again. Oh well. Most won't miss me so why should I miss them?
Just cause?
Dance recitals went purdy good. Sabetha's I caught and it was neat. Don't think it was as good as last year, but still damn good. Saw the Jacque chick I talked to last year. She looked a lot different and was in almost every other dance, so I didn't talk to her a lot. Took the next week off then had Express Yourself's show. For some reason rehearsal was Monday, show was Friday/Saturday. Didn't get that bad it made sense because once they showed up (late every time) it was obvious. They were the most unorganized group I've ever seen. Went back in during the week to hang Cybers along with the Technos. That was damn ridiculous in the setup process, but looked good (woulda looked better with more time). Shows went ok. The teachers seemed to like me a lot since I was backstage running sound, dry ice, and curtain since it was only me, Mclean, and Chris for the first show. Still think Chris shouldn't be allowed to touch half that stuff, but Eric seems to have faith. I've seen him do some major fuckups, so my lack of faith is deserved.
After those, I've started helping Justin out at Energy with Eric starting to tag along. Eric's coming just to play with the software running the lights (and bitch about it all night long) while me and Justin hang the lights for him to try and put in. Even though one of us usually has to put it in for him.
Fun story for that place.
Justin and Zack were on the scaffolding putting up one of the lights, Eric was on the ground doing something with some broken lights, and I was in the DJ booth putting in some music so we'd have something to listen to (even though the sound is shitty in there). All of a sudden there's a crash and Justin and Zack are yelling at Eric to put a wheel back on the scaffolding that somehow fell off. So I run down there to help Eric stick the other one on. The second I lift it high enough to put it on, one from the other side fell off, making the whole thing lean and look like it's going to fall. So we get both of them back on and Justin starts to wire the lights in. He comes down and goes to the breaker box to wire it all in. The rest of the group is in the booth and he's sitting at the box and all we see is a big flash, a crackle, and him yelling FUCK after something went off in there. We decided to call it quits after that.
Overall that place isn't too bad, and I can see why Justin is staying (pretty sure on that). Glad he is too, so this way I have someone to kinda lean on for help when dances start up again. The upcoming lake time should be fun with us three, then I come back just to leave for Minnesota not long after that. Guess we'll see how this summer ends up. Me and Erin started talking again, which is definitely a plus. Still have a feeling I'm going to be lonely for longer than most people think and imagine.
Nobody cares cause I'm alone and the world is having more fun than me.
