Gothic Bellydance Lessons in Brighton!
Starting Monday 2nd March and Wednesday 4th March 2009.
At last, something for all women (and men!) who love drama, beauty and excitement! Gothic Bellydance is a new sensation which originated in America just over 20 years ago and is now taking the UK by storm. Styles of dance included are Egyptian, Indian, Flamenco, Tribal, Burlesque, Ballet and Contemporary. Music encorporates artists such as Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, The Cure, Nox Arcana, Gypsy Caravan and more! Come and experience to believe...
Sascha is a professional performer who has danced bellydance for the past 11 years and now specialises in Gothic Bellydance. Her classes are taught in a relaxed atmosphere at The Marlborough Little Theatre, 4 Princes Street , Brighton. They are taken in 2 parts - the first half will concentrate on traditional bellydance movements that form the basis of Gothic Bellydance and the second focusses on Gothic Bellydance itself which will include, veil, cane and whip work. Or you can choose to learn either the Traditional or Gothic Section separately. Please wear a long circular skirt and a scarf to wear over your hips (black should be your base colour if you're doing the Gothic Section). Bare feet please!
Classes will start promptly at 7.30pm-8.30pm for Traditional Bellydance and 9pm-10pm for Gothic Bellydance on Mondays and Wednesdays. Mondays are tailored for Beginners and Improvers, whilst Wednesdays are focussed on Advanced and Professional Levels.
Prices: One lesson only (Traditional or Gothic) - £5 or both sessions £8. Students and concessions - one lesson only (Tradional or Gothic) - £4 or both sessions £6.
