Chalk and cheese - I'd swear I've heard that idiom before. It must be some British thing.

And your Billy's a virgin when he meets Dom? This should be VERY interesting.

I think it's probably british in origin, it's a common comparison here and most of our idioms are british in origin.

I'm so glad you like the story, I was concerned that this Dom wouldn't be well accepted.

Orlando has pretty much loved Billy for as long as billy loved Dom, it's been a sad little unrequited triangle, hasn't it.

You'll appreciate my favorite part in this, and I read over it several times to make my decision. Here's my favorite part:

Almost ten years ago, his first time with Dom was completely different. If not perfect exactly, it had been filled with the raw physicality that Billy would learn to expect from Dom. He squirmed a little in his seat as he remembered the occasion.

I love the visceral description that comes with the word physicality. It was a good choice.
