I'm using my lovely Damian Lewis icon even though we're talking about "House," because I am annoyed with "House" at the moment (because of those clips). Yea, yea, I still love the show, I'll always watch, etc. But dredging up this Cameron-loves-House stuff makes me cringe.
I do think Cameron is still crushing on/obsessed with House, and to me that's clear in the House-Cameron clip. He asks her if she still has the hots for him. Instead of saying "no" or giving any other direct answer, she evades, saying, "I care about the patient."
As shutterbug_12 pointed out, House tells Wilson that he was "wrong about Cameron," but I'm not convinced he's necessarily talking about Cameron having the hots for him. He could be talking about some other theory he had about Cameron. Ok, he probably is talking about his theory that Cameron has the hots for him... but why would House think her answer is "no" when she didn't really give him an answer? House always spots an evasive answer and calls the person on his/her non-answer. For example, in It's a Wonderful Lie, I'm sure we all remember that he sarcastically/jokingly asked the patient's daughter if she'd been to med school. When she answered, "I'm 11," he said, "That's not an answer; that's an evasion." Poor kid! :-) So... maybe House missing Cameron's non-answer is just more evidence that House is, indeed, losing his mojo.
Whatever is going on, I will try to think happy thoughts about it until it airs. I'm hoping the point of this plot is to shut down the House-Cameron "ship" possibility. It's so tiresome and cringe-worthy. I'm embarrassed for Cameron, and I don't even like her. If I were a Cameron fan, I'd be disgusted at the way the show is portraying her.
Your Damian Lewis icon is, indeed, lovely! :-) And because I, too, am mad at House right now, I will follow your lead and use a lovely Mark Harmon as Gibbs, drinking-coffee-and-wearing-glasses icon! (Don't you think he looks just a little bit hot here?)

WHY are they doing this? Does anyone who makes up what we collectively call TPTB really think this is an interesting story in any way? The one shred of hope that I'm hanging onto is that Twitter from Doris Egan in which she raved about how great episode 5.22 is. I am trying to be hopeful that whatever is so great undoes all the damage that will apparently happen in 5.21. Seriously, if they're serious about supporting NAMI, they should acknowledge that Cameron is unhealthily infatuated/obsessed with House and make her face it and get therapy. I know, I know...I sound like a broken record! I can't seem to help it!

Smarmy, smarmy ick! I just looked at the Fox Forum. I won't let myself log in or I'll be all over the place posting and getting my blood pressure elevated - and Cameron fans are posting that Cuddy is acting like a teenager by asking Cameron if she's in love with House. We don't know the context in which Cuddy asks, so we can't make that call yet, and, furthermore, CAMERON has ALWAYS acted like a teenager.

Excellent point! House would be able to see right through her evasive tactics! The only reason I can think of for House to lie about that is if he doesn't want Wilson to know that Cameron isn't over her crush. Maybe he's worried that Wilson will encourage him to "do her"? I don't know!

And I know of one Cameron fan who is undoubtedly bashing Shore and Jacobs and Cuddy and all the writers...for doing what? Continuing to write Cameron consistently, just as she's always been! ;-) I think it makes perfect sense, given who we've been shown Cameron is, that she's not over House (I never really thought she was, aside from a brief window at the end of S3), but I question the motives of TPTB because I find it boring as hell and, as you say, completely cringeworthy!
