"Gettin' crazy with the Cheez Wiz!"
Well, helloooo....sorry I haven't written in soooooo long...been busy/lazy. Anyhoo, the first thing I want to tell you all about is camp! I LOVE CAMP!!!!!! Jeanna can relate...the first week was awsome...here are some highlights:
*Daily trivia on random things (i.e. toilets)/cabin competitions
*Karaoke~the guys from Wellspring rocked the dining hall with their rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody, then the "Numa Numa" song by Rush, Jeff, and Bob....GREAT TIMEs...my cab brought the judges to tears with a heartwrenching version of "Don't Wanna Close My Eyes"...Kali it's our song!
*Canoeing~Jeanna, Tiff and I shared a boat....my shoulders hurt soooooooo bad after two hours!We did really well though...Good job Jeanna, go us!
*Gestapo~a huge game of hide and seek...with water guns! Jeanna and I hid outside the door of a motel...people were talking inside...it was awkward
*Chocolate Thunda!!!!!
*Murph or Merf..however he spelled it...was an UNBELIEVABLE speaker....so talented, it was so great to hear about how he found God....very inspiring
*Murph helping us break into our cabin...he's an expert
*Jeanna,Joanna,Rachel,Beverly, and I took TONS of naps...it was so cold and dreery
*Rachel was an awesome counselor this year...she was so fun and cool...she even knows the Jens!lol
*Wellspring was just too cool in their concert...so great!
*God is SO AWESOME!I LOVE HIM!!!!!
SECOND WEEK AS A JUNIOR COUNSELOR
*Staff Hunt~hiding in a bus with Jaci for an hour...it was a good hiding spot, until kids found us :(
*Morning Workouts with Phil!He is sooo awesome!
*Duct Tape contest, Castle contest, Octopus Tag....cabin competitions
*Cabin 1 was fabulously decorated by Jaci and myself, go us!
*Dress-up dinners~ I'm very disappointed in myself...I didn't do very well...I'll beat you at Hawaiian night next year, Shane!
*Playing cards with John, Jaci, and Jeanna
*Jaci got sick Thursday and went home later in the day...so I had the girls alone, makes me excited for next year when I'm a counselor!WOOHOO!
*Wellspring had another great concert
*Pranks with Jeanna's cabin..fun fun
*Frisbee at night
*Pistons games/movies
*Hangin with my girls, they rock!
*Canteen
So that concludes my adventures at camp....it was so great, now for my weekend on Bois Blanc Island:
Friday~We went to our cottage, it was beautiful!Very woody, very cool!We made a surprise dinner for Doug and Melissa's anniversary...went really well
Saturday~I didn't feel too well at first, I got better though and went sailing with my Uncle Dougie...he let me sail the boat, it was cool. I layed in the sun, then we had Jonathons party, later there were fireworks and we fired the cannon 3 times...it was great!Mary and Orv are so cool!!
Sunday~Hung out with the guys, jumped off the dock, swam out to the raft, hung with my family (includes Orv, Mary, Doug, Melissa, Jonathon)...left on the 6 o' clock ferry...got home at midnight!UGH!
The past month has been soo great, I hope your's has been as well!I'm out, I'll write later!
