Weekend of happy
I got to go to the lake on Friday, my kids and some friends and I went. First of the season I got to go, felt incredibly nice to swin again. Had a cookout, all that. Then Saturday I went out on a basically blind date. A guy that I talk to online, lives two blocks from me, his kid is in the same school as my kids. Went out to dinner, went and shoot pool and darts. I had the best time. After my hell date, I was giving up the idea of dating period, but I really did havve a good night. Great conversation, similar enough interests that we could talk, I didnt' have to feel bad abotu havign kids or being my fat self. Was nice to kinda kick back and have a grown up time. He seems nice, works at AKSteel, has a life that seems normal to me. He asked me out again, I said yes of course. Spoke to him today, I had gone to my bro's for the evening, said he was gonna call and ask me and the girls out for ice cream...we made plans to meet at the park tomorrow, let the kids play, we can talk more. That's one of the things I am liking......first off that I can have kids and not feel bad, and second that things like going to ice cream idea make me smile. I dotn' have a clue where this will go, but he is def a good contender for friend, if not more.
