Jury Duty
I have to report at 9am in the morning as I've been called to jury duty. The one thing I have always wanted, yet I know there are several reasons I won't be picked.
1. My mother is a newspaper editor.
2. I watch the news and read the paper.
3. I have opinions on legal system.
4. I have testified in a murder trial.
5. My ex-boyfriend is up for criminal charges. I am laying 10 bucks I get called for his case. As I have been subpeanoed in his case, and i dated him and know the offense well, I dont' think I'll be allowed to be on the jury.
6. the Boggess jailhouse murder case is over, although i was related to several witnesses and would have not been picked anyways, i wanted to sit on that trial.
Shit.
The one highlight I see to my next 6 weeks. Down the proverbial drain. I have always had an interest in the legal system. i wanted to be a defense attorney for forever. I have my obssession with murderers, and have never sat through a full trial (witnesses can't be in courtroom til after testimony) and I can't get jury duty on the best murder case around here in awhile.
