I.. I really don't like this.
I'm not the only one who's stuck in the wilderness, am I?
Once I figure out how to get out of this swamp thing, I'll try and help anyone who needs to get out too. This is so not cool; can't we go back to having the shopping mall?
[Added a few seconds later with shaky handwriting.]
...There's dead people in the
~ghost,
dead faces in the water,
~rosalind,
~brianna,
e: mordor,
~rogue,
get me out of here

But there's other people who need to get out, so I'm definitely up for trying to help them.

[Pinky's wandering through the swamp, trying to keep herself from getting stuck in it and find a way to get out, all the while looking for Handmaiden.]
Reply
She has to concentrate on finding Pinky, keeping herself above the malignant aura, and not becoming mired in the swamp, but she sees the other woman at a distance eventually and calls out.]
Pinky! Are you unharmed?
Reply
I'm fine, Handmaiden! I just want to get out of here.
[She follows the sound of Handmaiden's voice, and keeps walking until she sees her getting closer.]

That is understandable... there is a great darkness in this place.
[Her voice sounds strained; she does not like their surroundings at all. But she keeps making her way through the marsh until she reaches Pinky.]
I do not think there is anyone else in our immediate area, but we should search anyway to be sure.

Stupid Pinky...this is so not what I signed up for.
PINKY!!! HANDMAIDEN!!! ANYBODY?
OK IF ANYONE IS IN HERE, GET YOUR SORRY BUTTS OUT OF THIS SWAMP AND BACK TO THE TREE BEFORE I KICK EM THERE!

[She is about to say something when Ghost's yells interrupt.]
Oh. Looks like Ghost finally found the swamp.
[She rolls her eyes.]
Want to meet him before he yells himself hoarse? Not that that's a bad thing. Then he couldn't yell anymore.

That is almost tempting.
[She turns and starts towards the direction his voice is coming from--at least he's somewhat closeby. Handmaiden glares at him once they're in closer range.]
Do you really think that you are going to be effective like this? If there were hostile beasts here, you would have attracted every single one of them with your noise.

Well maybe if you two move faster we won't have to worry about that! Sides there's dead people all over the place! It's not exactly subtle so if something does attack we'll probably see it coming first!
[Still he nods in Pinky's direction and his worry for her is probably visible through his asshole attitude.]
You ok?

[She glares at him for a second, and then gives him a small smile.]
I'm fine, Ghost. Really.

Becoming angry over this is hardly useful. And if you had paid any attention to the dead, you would see that they are preserved... what happened here was not recent.
Now that your concern is satisfied, I suggest we begin searching for anyone else who is lost in this... place.
[She really does NOT like the marshes at all, but if someone else is lost they obviously can't be left. So she starts off, carefully.]

But geez she's a little scary. He almost takes a step back. Almost.]
Whatever. Preserved or not, it doesn't mean they can't just jump out of the water or something. I've seen walking dead before and it wasn't fun.
[Zombies man. Zombies.]
And you. [A slightly less intense glare at Pinky.] It's not like I don't trust you alright? I just--don't want you getting into trouble without me.
[He falls into step behind Handmaiden, still a bit grumpy and eying all the dead bodies like they're gonna come jumping out at him to eat his brains.]

[She follows Handmaiden and Ghost for a short distance before finally turning and rolling her eyes in Ghost's direction.] Do they look like they're going to do anything? They're dead... I don't think anything's going to happen unless we bother them.
[She pauses, and sighs.] But... Thanks, I guess. It's nice to know someone's making sure things are going okay.

[She gives the corpses in the pools a wary glance. The idea of animated dead is outlandish, but in this place, assuming what is and is not impossible is foolhardy.]
