Montana: Big Sky Country

Jul 12, 2005 10:17

Well I'm here now... I made it alive, but barely. In 2 days, I watched around 7 DVDs, finished a book, and started another. I also managed to listen to the entire 'Moulin Rouge' soundtrack... and none of those activities over lapped. Oh wait, I listened to the tunes while I read. But thats it. Thats how long a car ride to Missoula, Montana is.

But now that I'm actually here, I cant complain. It really is beautiful out here, the mountains are awesome. Plus, Montana is the land of 'No skeets, humidity or sales tax' I was on the phone with Noah last night at about 9:00 PM (10:00 his time... and he still called me! Ah he's sweet!) and I was outside on my aunt's porch swing (v. comfy, by the way) and it was like 75 degrees outside... and completely perfect. I wasnt hot by any means... talk about rockin awesome. Plus, I wasnt being attacked by the honorary Minnesota state bird (the mosquito for anybody who isnt from MN) That was probably my favorite part! Well, except for that I was talking to Noah... but we wont go into that. Oh, and the no sales tax thing? If something is marked as $3.50 (aka my lunch at the mall yesterday) it is exactly $3.50. Not $3.6something retarded, it is exactly the way it says it is. Yay!

So here's my game plan for anybody who doesnt know... I'm here in Missoula until tomorrow morning, and then we leave for Kalispell where my grandparents live. We'll stay at their house for a night (other cousins and relatives will arrive tomorrow as well) and then Thursday night we'll head out to the Bitteroot Camp where our bi-annual Kauffman Family Reunion is held. I'll be out there having the time of my life with my cousins until Sunday afternoon, when we'll head bck into Kalispell. We'll stay there until Tuesday morning, then we're back on the road till late Wednseday night when we arrive back in Minnesota. I'll be home Thursday and part of Friday, then it's off to my brother's state baseball tournament (gah) Then I'm home for a week, then it's off to Inver Grove Heights for Carrie's state softball, then I go to St John's for a week for All-State Choir. I am in NO WAY prepared for that! AHHHH!!!

I guess thats all I've got for now. I think I'll go eat me some breakfast, then when our parents get home from golfing, we're going into Kalispell to do some very Kalispell-like things (aka- the carousel, which is really fun) Tonight we'll go stuff our faces at Buffet Night at Pizza Hut, then we're going to a baseball game... HOORAY FOR BASEBALL!!! I'll be seeing ya'll when I see you... talk to you later!
