I went to The Cavern when I visited Liverpool, one of the best moments of my life (even if it's not really the original anymore).

Yeah after I made that gif, I was like "Omg. What. Have. I. Done." But then again, I'm a pretty creepy person, hence the horrifying gifs.

My dad wins, but I do pretty well; I work on the Albert Dock, and I am literally around the corner from the Beatles' Museum XD. Mwahahahaha.

Was it a protest to do with the university/educational cuts by any chance?

Yes indeedy. Upping the university fees infuriated me, cutting the EMA ticked me off a bit, but then the library closures proposition had me flailing with rage.

I couldn't afford books when I was a kid and I work in technical support so the courses libraries often offer on basic computer usage are a LIFESAVER for me with regards to helping people who are a bit new to computers, plus the implications of deliberately developing a lower class of education skeeves me out. A girl at the protest gave a fantastic speech about how her grandparents would tell her parents "University's not for the likes of us" and how the government are creating a situation where she'll be hard pressed not to tell her kids the same thing.

Lol, I have a friend who goes to UCL and has been very involved in the protests, so I've been hearing all about it! ;) Maybe you've both been at some of the same ones!

I was at the protest in Liverpool this weekend :), the one that ended at the Anglican Cathedral. The library cut protests have been a pretty major thing for me and my mates, though. I was one of the last people in the country to get a government assisted place at a private school so the whole class divide thing means a lot to me ^^.
