new years
So today is the first day of 2008. I rang in the new years with my best friend Ria at her family's barbecue. It was fun. The chicken was flavored with a spicy sauce, I never really liked spicy foods until I was introduced to them by a certain someone. Oh and her family makes the best potato salad, I'm very picky about potato salad. Well I went and picked her up and we went to the liquor store and I got some things as well as she. I drove my mom's car cause I need to replace one of my tires...grrr. I need to buy two new tires and they are going to cost me, they aren't very cheep. But getting the car I did I new it was going to cost me more money for gas, insurance, and taking care of it but it was so worth it. Her cousins and aunt were playing guitar hero and after a few hours they wanted me to try. After a few tries I was able to complete a song and even if it was the easiest song in the game it was a proud moment for me. I never really played video games. Well except for mario cart and diddy kong racing with my brothers and sis when I was younger at my dads. Well they all decided to try a hard song and we all took turns playing it so we could see our score. I got 22% my first time, but to my defense I only played 3 times before that, it was my first time playing this game and the song was fast. Ria made a joke about me sucking and the funny thing was that on the next round of the song everyone did horrible, her aunt and her both got 22%. That's what you get for making fun of people, lol. After that was over her aunt suggested that I try a harder song than I was playing before but easier than the last one. I jumped at it to see what I could do not to mention it was a killer's song, one of my fav bands. I completed the song and did pretty well in it. I never knew guitar hero could be so much fun, it was a great way to bring on the new year. I knew I shouldn't have gone out because I pulled a muscle in my foot and it hurts like a bitch. So dancing was out of the question. I also realized I spent a very long time texting someone who I don't even know why I was talking to. I've made a few resolutions for this year, I kept mine last year except for the one about taking a lot of classes. I took on a second job to save up money for a new car, which getting a car was a top priority being that my other one was on the verge of expiring. Anyways, all in all it was a good year.
