Okay all you parents of school aged children . . . I've got a couple of questions for you.
1) If you e-mailed your child's teacher about a concern and later that same day you were in the school and had a conversation with the same teacher where she answered your questions and discussed the topic of the e-mail in depth with you, would you consider that e-mail unanswered? If so, do you think teachers should respond to every single e-mail from you even if you verbally discuss the situation and what do you want written in that e-mail?
2) When your child comes home stating there was a problem with the teacher that day, do you automatically swing in to full Mama Bear mode and take your child's word for the absolute truth without ever talking to the teacher? If so, why and once you've made that jump is there anything the teacher can do to appease you or have you convicted her hook line and sinker?
3) If you answered yes to the above question, reverse the situation. Your child's teacher calls you to report an incident that happened in the classroom about which your child hasn't spoken with you yet. Do you listen to what the teacher has to say, or do you start defending your child and his/her actions?
