Last Day
Welp, today has been bitter sweet for me. I took a load of stuff to my new office. I came in this morning to a plant at my door with a card from my students. We only have two now (have had up to 5 at one time). I cried and cried first thing this morning. Then I walked around and said good bye to the important people (Support Staff)...cried some more. Had lunch with the girls at the Veranda where I slipped in a glass (or two, whose counting) of Pinot Noir. I LOVE that stuff. I discovered it in Nashville (on a buisness trip after setting up for a DSL in which no one showed).
I'm almost done cleaning out file cabinets of stuff. Notable moments I discovered in the mist of cleaning included documentation of Will's mishaps and Will's recommendation (or non-recommendation letter). I had to laugh out loud as I could hear him in my head saying, "Ms. Georgia, can I burn the documents...shredding is just too hard. Hun? Can I, can, I Ms. Georgia?" That kid will probably start out making more money than I'll make in my entire career.
On an up note, I have 4 windows in my new office along with my own private bathroom. I can't get out of here fast enough!
