I don't get it
Normally I think its a good thing that our legislation being slow and ponderous is a good thing, this prevents massive radical change that can have a whiplash effect. But I don't get this healthcare debate and the democrats that are holding it up over a couple of points.
They are willing vote against covering millions of Americans getting reasonably priced healthcare because of a few points in the bill that they disagree with. Seriously they need to stop being asses about this. Yeah you can not agree with abortion but I don't think that is a good reason to torpedo a whole healthcare reform bill.
I don't agree with the war in Iraq and Afghanistan but I would not cancel all military funding over it.
I know they must pass legislation all the time that they don't agree with all the points on, have you seen how long some of those bills are? Why are they holding up healthcare reform? I think they must have swelled egos. Its bad enough that the republicans are totally against all healthcare reform but for a few democratic representatives to hold things up as well is just frustrating.
So they need to get off their butts and get something passed even if they don't agree with everything!
