I don't know why I'm watching the presidential debate as I am Canadian but I have to say, if America votes this Romney guy in I'm moving to the Yukon. As far north as possible as I can get before I end up in Alaska

Thank you for this well worded, and polite response.
There are definitively factors that I was unaware of which is why I am delighted that you chose to respond.
I obviously do not have much, if any, concept of American politics. But I do like to hear differing opinions and viewpoints. Quite honestly, the most I know about Romney is some very unflattering opinions, I have heard, he has with regards to women. Whether they are factual is not something I can say with any degree certainty. I confess that I have not been paying a whole lot of attention as at the end of the day I can't vote. That being said, I am very happy that you chose to share your views with me so that I can be better informed.
Now, Canadian politics I may be a bit more impassioned. I have some very strong ideas regarding the current Prime Minister of my country, which I have because of my own personal experiences and needs, as I am sure you do with regards to your own political climate.
Politics are a hot button issue and I suppose I should not trivialize it. Lesson learned.
I think this happens to all of us. We get consumed. Media thrives on us! I won't tell you I'm right. I won't even tell you that Romney is right, because I am in this horrible middle ground that I always tell my kids about: I am economically a conservative, but socially a liberal.
It kind of splits my personality. But perhaps because for the first time in along time, I actually think a candidate believes what he is saying? I have some hope. Romney has supported and promoted many women in office. He is not a misogynist, as many have suggested. Just check his record.
I don't know anything about politics in Canada. I'm pretty ignorant, unfortunately. But I loved the few forays I've had into your lovely country.
