Shot at a short
This was how 'A random thought leads to a full thought out plan.' This post is to prep up Max & Ethel for the upcoming video, which hopefully isn't too overwhelming, that you wouldn't understand us. So thus, the facts you need to know before watching the video = the following...
March came along. Our dear HC was also planning a gathering/high tea, but ended up not carrying out with plans, and spent her birthday quite dully I must say. As we all know, our dear fwen Anne has been trying to plan her birthday for the longest time, but due to work = no birthday plans. Our dear iBimbo Tungie (from what I heard) did not want to do anything big since she already did so last year. I, am a big for-birthday celebrations or at least get togethers. I don't give a damn what number it is, but there should still be a get-together, a dinner, whatever. It may be as simple as a cake at someone's house, at least there's still laughter and joy... not like going home after driving on your birthday *ahemHCahem*.
I thought hard about how to possibly surprise them all. I mean, no plans of theirs, how in the world do we surprise them? Plus plus, if they were self-centered enough, they would probably have foreseen a birthday card coming their way due to my new year resolution. So it all started when Jo, Jenni and I went to get stuff for the cards. Then I told them of my random thought... which went something like this in the email I sent out to all eventually:

Gee and Wee (HAHAHA) ask Anne to meet up for dinner next week.
Jo and Jenni (Simeians meeting) meet up with Tungster for dinner next week.
I meet with HC for dinner next week.
We all end up going to a restaurant (somewhere we would eat on normal days, but more 'grand' than normal days) for e.g. Fish & Co. glasshouse. I was thinking TGIFridays could be a possiblity too since there are two stories. Anywayyy, so, let's say glasshouse. Simeians reach first, get seated upstairs. Gee & Wee reach with Anne, sit 1st floor, but at the far right hand corner or something, with Anne facing the outside. Gee & Wee, facing entrance or something. HC & I reach and we sit 1st floor, far left hand corner, HC facing outside, I facing entrance = facing Gee & Wee. Then we have to plan with the staff, once everyone reach, somehow we'd have them cheer & sing etc etc, SOMEHOW.
Or we could just meet up altogether, which is boring, and not much, LOL, BUT definitely less troublesome. But surprises are so thrilling! And as Jo said, even though it might be unsuccessful, we'd still be laughing over it? Hope so!

So the most amazing thing. When I sent out the email, I was only 30% confident it would work out. I was still waiting for someone to disagree that it was way too ambitious, lol. But no one did! So we continued with plans!
First, before I could ask HC out for dinner, she completed half my plan and asked me out. But I had to lie for the sake of the plan, saying I wasn't free, and that Thurs was the only day I could make it (that being the day she wanted to stay home) She completed the other half plan, asking me if we could go to Plaza Sing (yahoo! Job done!) Then I said the day before (Wed) that I was craving for Fish & Co.'s calamari, and said 'I better make a reservation.'
Jo texted Clarissa asking her out for dinner, being the Simeians dinner before Jenni moves out for a relatively better place, LOL. And here's the lie she did to persuade Tungie to have Fish & Co. because our dear Tungie can be quite a fussy pot. Jo, said her ahbu gave her Fish & Co. vouchers, so done, they settled on Fish & Co.
Eunice & Wee had the most tough candidate ever, makes me wanna vomit blood if I were in charge of her, LOL. Eunice told Anne that she had 3 free tickets to the National Museum. Anne being stubborn was all for work and for no play, LOL, jk. But getting her to go to museum was difficult as doing A Maths, so long story short, they had to persuade her for dinner, which she also couldn't make it cause she had work early next day (whatever, she was just being difficult) Like that so difficult how to plan and not be obvious right? And worst still, our dear Anne wasn't replying on twitter or by text very fast either, till our dear Eunice had to hold her phone and sleep, and get up and reply whenever her phone vibrated, LOL. Eunice, Wee and I had to have a back-up plan somemore... they eventually came to Eunice saying 'Weelyn's emo... I cannot deal with her alone, come for dinner and talk to her.' LOL, no choice, fwen have to console fwen, so Anne decided to go for dinner... but super late, after work.
Btw museum plan was as such... Wee & Gee meet up first for shopping (thus reason for holding the havis paper bag - birthday presents) then, they head to museum first, at about 5 plus 6, when they reach the museum, they will tell Anne 'Bloody hell knn museum's closed' (it really would be closed by 6pm anyway) then they'd say like 10 mins later, 'We're heading to Fish & Co. for dinner, meet us there.' and tadah, Anne will meet there at supposedly 6 plus 7, but PLAN FAILED... as seen in the following para.
Jo, Jenni, Eunice and I met up on Tues 16th Mar to get the presents, Wee stayed at home with the ridiculously sprained ankle playing mahjong. Long story short, we decided to get havis for all three babies, sat down at Starbs where Jenni and I wrote the poems for the cards. Then we briefed ourselves with the plan on Thurs. Then I mentioned 'RESERVATIONS'. I asked who was free to go down with me on Wed, talk to the management of Fish & Co. face to face, because over the phone = screw ups very possible. But none was free. And they were like 'Why didn't we go reserve today?' So, we spur-ed like fuck, at 9.50pm, rushed all the way from Ion to Fish & Co. glasshouse, and reached when they were about to close, talked to this guy called Anesh, and he was all nice etc. PLAN SUCCEEDED in terms of reservations! (Y) (Y)
Day of surprise, Thurs = FAIL. Wee, Gee and I met to get cake, and went to glasshouse to place it there, but guess what? They said they received no reservations for Thurs... omg, I'm bloody tired typing this already. The woman Hana told us we can't make any reservations for 7pm, wtf. We 3 sat there and like pretty thought out another new plan which sucked ttm! It went something like Wee and Gee sit there first, Jenni and Botah arrive next, awkward silence. I'll tell HC that I met Eunice and Wee, and they're eating at Fish & Co. too, so we can join them. After HC reaches the big table, more awkward silence, and if she asks why are we at a big table, we'd say 'We don't know, they just put us here.' Then Clarissa reaches, and then super super awkwardness, cause it'd be weird to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Then haiya it was one fucked up plan because we were stressed that everything was failing. Then another girl, the nicest of them all, came back to us, saying that they found Anesh's reservations, and our first plan was back into place, HOORAY LIKE IN A TIRED WAY. BUT thing is, they can't guarantee if seats can be given, if the restaurants FULL.
So I met HC, Wee & Gee hung at Park Mall, Jo & Tung & Jenni & Botah, made their way to Dhoby. This part should have been partly described in the upcoming video.
Then in other words, there was major communication problem because Jo was heading to Fish & Co. wayyyy too early, so I told her to slow down cause when she was opposite, HC & I were opposite too! Super LOL. When HC & I got in, I only ate calamari, wtf? It was crazy, then I kept telling her I wanna eat seafood platter but I would wait for my food to digest (and for Anne to reach) and for my jungle freeze to reach a certain level then I'd go order the food, the whole meal was awkward because she ended up playing with her iPhone and I was texting like fuck like as if I had a bf, and I wasn't paying attention to her, because I was awkwardly seated hoping nobody would see me. Halfway waiting for Anne to arrive, I was so bloody tired already, I even asked Eunice if we could give up, then she was all 'WTF, this is your plan leh, musn't give up!'
To properly end off, it was relatively a success... well, they all three didn't know about it at least. Except for Anne, who think she so special, go tell her fwen say 'I think my fwenz are doing something for me leh.' -.- LOL, well at least she didn't know what exactly it was!
Ok I think the rest were all covered in the video? BUT if the following terms were not covered/explained, then you can copy the following and remind me to talk about it: 'BACKBONE', 'SHOUT-OUT BY BAND PLAYING'. Wished you two were there :( Hope you enjoy our video anyway!
