CafePress & WoW

So.

MK has joined WoW. Not only that, but instead of borrowing doricom's account as we have in the past to play together, he bought copies of the game [the game itself and it's expansion] and has made his own monthly-fee account. He's made a mage on both sides of the fence, and while he's not nutty-crazy about his time online like i can be, he really seems to enjoy himself while he's there. He's logged into TeamSpeak (even when he's not playing the game) and is really -really- enjoying interacting with 'the guys' - swashblade, kitsuneraven as well as several other friends that don't have livejournals and both guilds as a whole. You might think that him choosing to play a mage would bother me but it doesn't. Not only will it take him a long time to get to 70, and when/if he does get there - i have my priest that i enjoy playing almost as much. *grin*

Last time we played WoW together was about 2 years ago, and we did it on another server. His biggest hesitation about joining up again and playing in my guilds was the whole 'you need your life apart from me' thing. It took a little bit to assure him that he won't be stepping on my toes - after all, i still have the days he's at work and after he goes to bed in the evenings to myself online. In fact, if anything, i'll get -more- time online as i'll feel free to log in and play on the days he is home if he logs in. (As it works, 98% of the time if he is home and awake, i don't play.) Besides; he's got just as many RL* friends as i do [read: none], and the interaction will do him some good.

In other news, i'll try to recap on the post i wanted to post about the day that LJ earned a bitching-at:

I may be biased, but these look fargin' excellent:

I was yakking at kitsuneraven on the phone while taking a break from updating these and he asked me to post a link to my cafe press stores. It's not as easy as he thinks, because if you link one store with one image on the products - that's all you get to see. But if you link all of your stores, every product you have shows up on one page. In my case, this is problematic since i have 89 stores with different images for each product. (Don't ask. It's just how they do it for the free stores.)

If you want to see more/all, the URL is http://www.cafepress.com/saskya all the way through http://www.cafepress.com/saskya89 - you'll have to put in and change the numbers for each shop you want to view. I mean, technically, i COULD do up the url to include all products from all stores, but i don't think that anyone wants somewhere between 7000-8000 images loading on one page. As a point of interest, the first half or so are drawings, and the second half are photos. No, no photos of me -... well, except for that one nude.

CafePress updated how you put products into your stores; it used to be that you had to individually create each item as you went, picking out options, images, pricing, etc. Now, they have it pretty much automated - you set those things once per store via the store info and then just pick and choose which items you want to sell. It automatically adds the image you want to every item, as well as does the pricing for you on each one. MUCH less involved with the process - AND they have gone from having around 20 or so different items in their stores to 101. Nice.

*RL friends = people i can have lunch with. If i can't reach out and physically touch you, despite having met face to face in the past or even living close to one another in the past you get classified as an 'online friend.' This isn't a bad thing - particularly since online friends is all i have. It's just how i classify you in m'head.

my life is so thrilling, cafepress, wow
