For those of you who wanted to know about the haircut that caused all of the fuss. Here are two photos of Mia. The first is a ‘before’ picture of Mia doing some bad-ass knitting. She’s wearing the ever-present toque. I think she looks pretty cute, but, as I mentioned previously, her school wanted her to drop the hat.

I knew she would look cute, but I expected the cut to be slightly more boyish, based on IEH's comments. In fact, it's quite feminine!

It's pretty much the classic bob. I agree that she looks great. I also like the one where it looks like she might take you out with her wicked, knitting inspired rapping.

I didn't even comment when you first posted about The Haircut, because I was just to upset and frustrated, and everyone said everything anyway. But I have to say, now: she is DARLING. (I'm sure you're like, DUH.) Oh, my goodness, what a cute haircut on a pretty girl. If I ever have a little girl, I am cutting her hair in a bob until she's old enough to decide how she wants to wear it. It's just the cutest thing ever.

She is ADORABLE, reminds me a little like Lucy in The Chronicles of Narnia (the movie). But your ex would of course dismiss her too.

Maybe he should go browsing the Child-Beauty shows where little girls are painted, trimmed and exposed like superficial cattle.

And even if the hairstyle would have been unbecoming his argument still wouldn't stand, so he can just shove it. (yes, it made me horribly angry too, when I read it)

Mia would be happy to hear it. She loves Lucy. When we saw the movie last Christmas, she went through a tweed jumper and cardigan phase. Now that you mention it, it’s probably why she picked out that particular style.
