Sparks of Fireflies (part 3)

It felt warm, and somewhat comfortable. Daiki thought that he could really get used to it, to the arms that wrapped around him, to the warmth of the body next to his, it was something he had never felt before, something very foreign, yet he feels comfortable. Takaki would be the first customer to hug him and let him snuggles after doing it, and Takaki is also the first customer that does it because Daiki initiates it first. A spread of red appeared on his cheeks when he remembers it.

Daiki sighs and moves the hand around his waist, he sat up slowly and stares at Takaki’s face, studying its smooth facial features while fighting the urge to touch it. Unlike the previous nights, he doesn’t feel distanced around him anymore. Maybe it was the way they did it just now, it was much gentler. It wasn’t just lust, but it’s not about love either, it was something more towards needing and understanding. And even though it was also needs that made him and Yamada did it, this has a different feeling to it, something more than just needs, but he doesn’t know what.

There are many things he doesn’t know about Takaki, and many things that he wanted to ask. Maybe he could ask all those questions on the last day he’s here, but somehow he felt that everything he’s confused of will unveil itself before him when the time comes. He just hoped that it wouldn’t be something bad, because right now everything seems too calm.

“Stop staring.” Came the muffled order which caused Daiki to jump a little before scrambling to cover himself with the covers.

“Why are you covering yourself? There’s nothing to hide.” This time Takaki’s voice is clearer and Daiki turned to find that the older man has opened his eyes.

“I thought you were sleeping.” Daiki mumbled as he felt his cheeks growing red.

“I was.” Takaki pulled him down and nuzzled on his neck. “Till I felt cold because the thing that’s suppose to keep me warm was gone.”

“Umm.. Sorry..” Daiki could only blush as he blinks up at the ceiling, not knowing how to react or reply to that. Sweet pillow words after sex was definitely something new to him, and what Takaki just said send flutters in his stomach.

But just as sudden as the intimate gesture that Takaki just did, the older guy pulled away. Daiki turns to him in confusion, and saw that the warm and sleepy eyes of the brunette had turned into the cold ones which Daiki saw on the first time they met. Daiki wondered if he had done anything wrong, or was Takaki regretting of talking and acting too sweet to him? That must be it.

“What were you thinking just now?” Takaki asked suddenly, cupping his face with a hand and turned his head around till they were facing each other. Daiki noticed that the coldness in Takaki’s eyes was gone, but it still wasn’t as warm as it was just now.

“I.. sorry… didn’t mean to.” Daiki said instead, pursing his lips together.

Takaki shrugged. “I don’t mind.” He traced a hand to the back of Daiki’s neck and pulls the younger one closer. “So, what were you thinking just now? That was one salty kiss.” He asked again as his fingers brushed gently on the stain on his cheeks which was left by his tears and Daiki felt relaxed at once. He felt the lulling warmness covered him again, he felt safe.

“My parents…” Daiki answered him, his voice nearly inaudible as he tried to choke back the tears from coming back. “I miss them.” He doesn’t know why he was telling Takaki this; he just felt that he could tell the older guy and he actually felt kind of relieved too.

Daiki looks intently at Takaki, searching his face for any kind of reactions since he has been quiet for the last minute. But Takaki’s face remained the same expressionless one which made him hard to guess what the other feels. He shouldn’t have mentioned it at all, talking about missing his parents. Takaki didn’t buy him for a week to listen to his story after all.

“I know how that feels.” Came Takaki’s sudden reply after a long silence, and there was something that flickers in his eyes which made Daiki shudders, but it was gone in a blink of an eye and was replaced by sadness “Missing them and knowing I will never see them again. It’s sad isn’t it?”

Nodding, Daiki closed his eyes and let Takaki’s hand thread through his hair, liking how it could made him feel calm. Of course Takaki knows how he felt, how could he forget that Inoo had told him about Takaki being an orphan? This made him realize that when Takaki told him that he understands how it felt a few hours ago, he really meant it.

Though he shouldn’t be feeling glad about Takaki not having parents, but it made him feel that he wasn’t alone. And he wasn’t surprised when he felt soft lips pressed against his tentatively, in fact he kind of expected it and it just felt like this should happen.

Inching closer, Daiki closes the gap between them as he turns the kiss into a more heated one. Till now, he hadn’t any idea that kissing and touching someone could feel this addicting, it’s like as if he wanted to taste it again and again even though they had just done it a few hours ago. It has never felt this way with Yamada; it was just something out of habit, something to vent their boredom and frustration out.

Daiki wondered if he should like this feeling, he knew that he shouldn’t be feeling attached to his customer, but he just can’t help liking it. And when Takaki pushes his tongue in and slides a hand down to his lower regions, Daiki threw away all thoughts and decides to just enjoy the moment. Whatever comes later, be it regrets or disappointment, he thinks that he should at least enjoy this moment.

“Dai-chaaaan, come here and join me.” Hikaru called out to him from the middle of the pool where he was currently floating on a bright yellow swimming tube.

Daiki ignored him as he sat cross legged on the cold tile beside the pool. Who on their right mind would want to have a swim on a winter day? It’s true that Tokyo almost never snows and the sun is still above their heads, but the water would still be too cold. Daiki wonders if Hikaru is a mutant. But he likes this place, it was the only place in the house which doesn’t made him remember of anything, but probably that’s because the pool was not here the last he was here.

A big splash of water landed on him causing him to squeal and sat up immediately. “HIKARU!!!!!” Daiki exclaimed as he shivers and looks at his drenched shirt before glaring at the grinning boy who was now right before him.

“You were ignoring me.” Hikaru pointed out and wades closer to Daiki, took hold of the pair of legs dangling on the water and pulled him down into the pool before Daiki could utter another word.

Splashing and struggling around, Daiki chokes out some waters before turning to Hikaru with a glare as he tried to kick him under water. “Are you trying to kill me!!!” Daiki exclaimed as loud as he could with his clattering teeth then splashes a big wave of water to Hikaru, he took the chance when Hikaru looks away to duck under water and turned the tube over so that Hikaru was now in the pool with him.

It soon turned into a water fight between them, splashing and chasing each other like little kids, the freezing cold water somehow forgotten. And they wouldn’t have stopped if not for Inoo telling them that lunch is ready. And that’s when they rushed out of the pool and into the kitchen, not caring if blots of water was everywhere around the house.

“Hikaru, you are suppose to manage the house, not dirty it you idiot!!” Inoo clicked at him.

“Don’t worry, it will be clean and dry in a jiff.” Hikaru grinned then hugs Inoo who cried out in horror when Hikaru’s cold and wet Body envelopes him. “Now, this feels good...”

“There’s towel on the chair Hikaru!” Inoo shouted as he tried to push Hikaru away.

Daiki couldn’t help but to blush at the affection shown before him, his eyes darted away as he wrapped himself with the fluffy towel that Inoo gave them and busied himself with it. He had learned just the night before that Hikaru and Inoo were together, he was hungry and Takaki had told him that there’s probably some food which Inoo had left for him in the kitchen. It was then when he caught them in action on the kitchen counter, which made him squeal and runs back to Takaki’s room with a face as bright as tomato. Takaki had laughed at him and teased him about it.

That was actually the first time he saw Takaki laughs, and he thinks that it’s nice. In the end, Takaki had to go to the kitchen himself to take the food and told his two friends to do it in their rooms instead.

Takaki never really talk much to him, but sometimes he throws one or two jokes around when they were together. But Daiki doesn’t mind it, he likes Takaki’s presence, it was comfortable even if they weren’t talking or doing anything, and it made it bearable for him to be in that room.

They never had sex all the time, sometimes Daiki would just sit around and read some books while Takaki do things with his laptop. And when they did have sex, it was very different from the first or second night they did it where there weren’t any feelings involved, nor was it as needy as that other day when he had cried. It wasn’t gentle, yet it wasn’t rough either, and turns rough only when he asked for it. Yeah, Daiki actually asked him to do him rough, something which would never happen with other customers and something which Daiki would get embarrassed at after that.

And the aftermath, Daiki likes the aftermath. He likes snuggling to Takaki, inhaling the other’s scent while he starts to talk nonsense. Takaki would listen and sometimes ask a few questions about him which he would reply easily. It felt like as if he could tell Takaki about anything and everything, about his family, how he came to the brothel, about yamada, and about the things he did with Hikaru and Inoo when Takaki wasn’t at home, which was rarely.

Daiki was sure that if he didn’t already know that he would be here for only a week, he would have considered himself as being in love. But since he knew that all this would come to an end, he doesn’t want to think of putting in feelings into all these. And maybe that’s why he never asked anything about Takaki though there’s many questions he wanted to ask.

But maybe, he had put in too much of his feelings into this without knowing. He just hoped that he hadn’t, because it will be painful for him when the week is over, and that would be the day after tomorrow.

Author's note : Hope you like this chap, and that it didn't bore you. Actually wanted to add in more things, but I'm scared that the atmosphere would change too much from how I originally wrote it, so here goes. Anyway, just a warning to everyone, the fluff and happiness (if there is) ends here.

Comments are loved.
