~* Merry New Year 2010 *~

December: Saw New Moon with The Husband... Yes, it was better than the first Twilight film, but I have such a loathing for the character of Bella. She is a bad role-model for girls - too suicidal and weak for my liking. That is my major criticism, but there are so many others.

I attempted to tidy the disheveled Study in December... A lot of crap to sift through... Not a pleasant thought... But it had to be done (it's been on my to do list all year)! I filed, sorted & organised various piles of dull paperwork -- felt quite cleansing...

2010 has been quite delightful thus far! The two different new years’ eve parties were both enjoyable, lovely, intimate and relaxing - we met both new and old folk! Irene's party had a bollywood theme (which I had forgotten about) and she went to lots of trouble with all the decor, costumes etc. A superb hostess she was indeed!

This year we now have the internet at home, which is both exciting and difficult to get used to. I am having problems with my addiction to it, and not being able to get things done around the house etc. I think it's time for me to set myself up with time limits to each time I traverse the interwebs. Also, I need to watch what I'm spending online as I've already purchased stuff I don't need online without realising it. This is going to take a lot of discipline! I hope I can handle it!

The other day we met Eric and his new fiancé and had a dazzling afternoon devouring watermelon and "7apples" icecreams (delectable mars bar & bubblegum flavours)...... 7apples is the best!

Last weekend was very busy indeed - we went to the City to Lily Black's (they have delicious cranberry juice) then to another bar in the City to meet up with friends and then got the night rider home at 1:30am. Also went to St Kilda last night, out to dinner with Ari at Chinta Rio, a cute little Malaysian restaurant - I had a gorgeous Claypot dish with vegies, tofu and steamed rice. Superb to catch up with the charming Ari on one of his visits to Melb.

I contemplated my new year resolutions recently... I’ve written them down (about 9 major goals to achieve - I better get started). Here’s to a marvellous 2010 (I know it will be a better year than 2009 that’s for sure. I feel it in my bones)…

new years eve, internet, decluttering, resolutions, new moon, goals, socialising
