I love aggressive L. Shame you don't see him often in fan fiction.

Anyway, great story, as usual. :)

Thanks! I sometimes see a particular type of aggressive L in LxLight fan fiction, where the only thing L can think about is sticking his dick into Light and he doesn't particularly care whether Light consents or not, but I almost never see aggressive L outside the LxLight pairing.

I personally prefer it outside the LxLight pairing. LxLight seems too over-done in my opinion.

Yeah, it seems like half of all Death Note fanfiction is LxLight (though it's probably more like 25%, but still, that's a lot). I know a lot of people who've seen it so much they can't stand any more LxLight at all.

If, for example, Harry Potter fanfiction were 25% DracoxHarry, I bet tons of fans would be overexposed and tired of it.

However, I find it harder to imagine L as highly aggressive inside a relationship with Light. The character dynamics just make me think Light would be more likely to be an aggressive pursuer if that relationship happened.

Or maybe I've just been tired out and jaded by the overabundance of LxLight where aggressive!L only exists in order to punish Light in the minds of fangirls.

Anyway, I was very pleased to write this aggressive version of L going after Misa.

Thanks for posting this. It's so good to see a fic where L is an actual man and not just a walking freak/alien/imperturbable genius. He is all of those things, of course, but he's a man too!

And I reckon I know why Misa cheated. It's because in canon Light really has no interest in sex at all. His whole manner screams 'meh'. He probably sees it on a par with going to the toilet. Something which it's wise to keep under control.

Anyway, this was compelling and gave me little shivers!

Misa is obviously a very horny girl, and Light has no interest, true. It's a perfect set-up for cheating.

I've always wondered what would have happened if L hadn't forbidden Light from breaking up with Misa during the Yotsuba arc. If a bewildered Light had dumped Misa, I bet it would have brought in a lot of complications. And if Misa had somehow thought that one of the attractive Yotsuba guys were Kira (instead of Higuchi) would she have fallen for that guy?

I strongly suspect that if Light dumped her she would just turn into a psycho bunny boiler. She would never accept it. This IS the woman who failed to see FOR YEARS what every one else was painfully aware of, i.e. that he didn't give a flying fuck about her! She seriously seemed to think he loved her! *shakes head in disbelief*

Then the task force would have to deal with a psychotic, uncooperative Misa who would probably try to leak all their investigation secrets to the press, or something as equally troublesome.

I liked this a lot. I don't normally go into Death Note fandom despite being a huge fan (was traumatised years ago by the drama and just circled the rims since then) so I don't know if there's an L/Misa goldmine I'm missing elsewhere, but this is the first smut story of them I've ever come across. So thank you xD I love it when L is allowed to show his aggressive/assertive side and be a man like any other.

There isn't a huge amount of LxMisa fics, but those that exist usually don't create much drama. Their worst fault is that most of them tend to be very, very fluffy.

I've got a few other LxMisa, but they tend towards dark and/or angsty, plus I tend to put L, Light and Misa together in threesomes quite a bit.

Probably the fic I've written that is most similar to this fic is "Quiet":

I read this on FFN, but prefer reviewing here (mostly because it's so much more convenient to leave feedback on Eljay ( ... )

It's not useless at all. It's more detailed than most reviews I get, it contains useful feedback (about exactly the things that worked in this fic and the kinds of things that you generally don't like), and it's encouraging.

When I'm more confident that I'm really fulfilling a want that exists, I might end up writing more (though if I'm really tired or busy, it doesn't affect my volume of writing, but it still makes me feel good).

So, thanks!
