Output of fiction

Well, it's the end of January and I've finally written something, if the first couple of hundred words of a short story count as 'something'. I'm quite pleased with this idea, but I'm not sure how well I'll be able to pull it off - we'll see.

200,000 words is suddenly starting to look like an insanely ambitious goal for the year. Luckily, I am not sane and never have been.
