Lucille Turns Into An Orange

tanning in sunlight, 
saffron.
oblong breasts extending,
swelling segmented wedges,
growing to make protruding belly.
swallowing legs and arms and face,
until one plump sphere, a radiant earthen moon. 
pores exuding flowery scent, citrus exotic.
brunette locks twist in braid at top,
like stem.
hailing in the house of our sun, milking,
absorbing osmosis orb.
ripe repose.
