Friends, Romans, Fl*sters, as you cower under your furniture fear not. I’m just interrupting your Tuesday with a question. As I sit at my desk and stare morosely at the dull, dank , grey day outside. I can’t help but ponder (don’t worry I’ll clean up later) what brightens my day at times like these.
I was wondering if there is a film, or TV Show that brightens such days? You know the film that you can curl up on your settee, and watch over and over again and it always makes you feel warm and snugly. Yes in case you’re wondering, I am capable of such emotion. Llook I have to take a break from torturing Dean and Jensen occasionally.
I should imagine you’re all thinking that my snugly films includes the sounds of gun fire, or swords clashing or Superheroes striding purposefully across the screen. You know the likes of Lord of the Rings, The Avengers, Thor, Wolverine, and Wacky Races. But no I have a deep dark secret, the film that brings me endless joy no matter how often I watch is........

Yes the shame of it, not a gun battle or Orc in sight. Instead there is the magic of old Hollywood. It has it all comedy, dance, I won’t talk about the romance, but most of all it has Gene Kelly. Yes I have a soft spot for that man, and it’s all because of the old Saturday afternoon films on BBC2
This is the film I love to watch with Steve on the settee drinking hot chocolate. In fact Christmas Day 2012, my highlights were watching Singing in the rain, then Tangled and finally Doctor Who, bloody marvellous day that.
Now before I slink away hanging my head with shame, I admit I even toyed with attempting a J2 version of the film. I can see it now, Jared as Don Lockwood the dashing movie star. Chad Michael Murray as Cosmo Brown his best friend, and Tom Welling as Lena Lamont. The stunning movie star with the voice of Orville the duck on helium.
I even had Jensen down as Kathy Seldon, only a bit more macho and the voice to die for.
There you go a Fic of mine, with hardly any angst, no battered Jensen and full of fluff. Ye Gods what was I thinking? What is the world coming to?
Now I’ll let you get back to your Tuesday.
