Pretty intense weekend, not going to lie. It's Wednesday and I'm still recuperating ^^
So, Saturday I helped organize a "cultural and social event"- a Maté tasting (my brainchild). I organized it along with a guy who does all sorts of cultural exchange events in Cordoba, Jeff. It took a good 3 weeks of planning, talking with the people from the hostel where we had it at, with all the people involved, etc.. Initially I had planned it to be kind of quaint, like 20 people and some different types of yerba maté, but Jeff made it all happen, convinced a cook to come, the owner of the hostel to play traditional Argentinian music.. it was awesome! More than 50 people showed up, all had a great time, it was a sweet deal. It was such an exhausting ordeal, and stressful because we didn't know how many people would come, how much food to make, how much maté to buy.. but it all worked out in the end, and we got some really positive reviews.

Then, Sunday morning (early, putain), we met up with some people to do a "Before I Die" wall- it started out as a trend in New Orleans, when an artist named Candy Chang painted a wall of her house black and wrote "Before I die, I want.." and left chalk out for people to write their dreams and desires, all the things they want to do before they died. The trend spread, all across the US and Europe, even hitting up Kazakhstan and Mexico. Ours was the first in South America, and turned out to be a huge success! We finished painting it on Sunday afternoon, and already Sunday evening all the lines (80 of them) were completely full, and by Monday night people had written everywhere- above, below, between the lines.. it's amazing! We are going to take pictures of the wall and then wash it on Sunday, to give more people the chance to write. But crazy how popular it's become! Beautiful wishes, beautiful trends...
