"Lack of forward progress"
Well, this continues to border on maddening. i'm still waiting on a phone call from the shrink i got a refferal to yesterday. i understand that these things take a little time, but to be honest... not really. i mean my file went into processing yesterday and there weren't that many files ahead of mine. How long does it take one Dr's office to call another and book an appointment? Presumably that's already been done and whichever of the two offices was going to contact me just hasn't gotten around to it. Again, i realize i may have to wait a while for the appointment, but i'm a little mystified as to why it takes any significant amount of time to BOOK said appointment at all.
Last night my boss had a pretty sharpe stroke of genius. He volenteered to contact the clinic in Montreal and ask THEM for names of shrinks/qualified mental health scam artists that they considered acceptable/sympathetic. Unfortunately these guys are ALL going to be private practice (and therefore will cost me money) people. However it might not be such a bad idea to just pay for two shrinks to write the letters. The KEY here is that they do it after an appointment or two, thus keeping my total cost under about 1,500 tops. If buddy wants me to come back 6 times, this is no good. Anyways we're waiting on the clinic to get back to us with those names.
Needless to say at this point i'm MORE than willing to agree patience isn't my strongest virtue. i'm going completely stir crazy here...
