Another fish, and a strawberry

Jan 31, 2007 16:58

I made another fish pouch. I love this gorgeous fabric that I bought in Shibuya, but I think it's rather too flashy to use on its own.
I like the rough look of the white cotton, but it tends to fray horribly. I am afraid the fish will fall apart easily. I was really disappointed when I finished it at 2 a.m.- but the next morning it didn't look so bad anymore. I guess it was my mood- restless and tired. Nothing quite cheers me up these days.

The fish's lips are the hardest part- I haven't figured out it yet.

*cough* I also jumped on the Martha Stewart strawberry pincushion bandwagon (I have seen so many of these on various blogs...) It's a quick fix for my distracting cravings to create, and I think it would look cute as a keyholder. I will make more.

I also just received my order of pretty fabrics, including some Japanese ones, from eQuilter. In the end, it is still much cheaper to buy from the U.S. than here in Paris, shipping included.
