free time is a tricky thing.
it's one of those things i salivated about in june during all the craziness. but now i'm covered from head to toe in free time, besides working. i'm frantically searching for the summertime equivalant of signing up for three shows.
i think that all of this free time is slowly turning me into a strange old lady, as i stayed in tonight and took a nap. i'm not a "napping" kind of person, due to the fact that sleep and i normally don't meet up that often. but i was like "so, what should i do tonight?", and apparently sleep was the option that won out.
then(...after i woke up) i watched Garden State. which is such a beautiful movie. i hadn't seen it in a year and a half, so i guess i had forgotten exactly how fantastic it is.
on friday night i had a lovely dining experience with Larry King, Kevin MacDonald, Steve Carell, Steven Colbert, Seth Meyers, and Bette Midler. which is to be expected, considering such a wonderful amalgamation of crazies. i was happy to represent as the resident Woody Allen, especially as Monsieur Carell and i tried to decipher the most neurotic way possible to split a piece of cheesecake.
in other news, my hair is still short. this is sort of strange, but i'm slowly becoming accustomed to it.
my Psychic Fair efforts for saturday were thwarted, and thus i did not have my palm read. disappointing, especially since work ruined my replacement plans. probably for the best, though, considering my palm is covered in writing. although i guess my work schedule is still somewhat the future, isn't it? that would have been funny. "i see...that you will be working from 5 to 10 next wednesday..."
pirate movie tomorrow night? yes, i think so. oh pirate Johnny Depp, how my love for you has not died an ounce since the original.
