Goodbye 2009!
2009 has been....well, a trip. A lot of bad, a lot of good. Sadly, bad events seemed to have trumped good events, but, I'm hopeful for the new year.
Things I have come to learn over the past year:
1. Abby's mom sure did know how to serve up a giant slice of shitcake, but that's not my story to share.
2. "Temporary layoff" doesn't feel very temporary when it's lasted almost a year
3. Getting dumped by your "best friend" only hurts because she thought of it before I did.
4. Running into her again just cemented that fact.
5. Visiting the best friend is always great. Texas in August, however, is not.
6. Will is a high school girl with horrible taste in men....or daddies...or whatever he tells himself to make it less gross to sleep with them.
7. Grey made so many milestones this year, and I haven't really expressed how proud I am of all he's done this year.
8. Soji managed to be all grown up, without being all grown old....and got hit on by Gackt. YES YOU DID.
9. Abby can bouce 0-60 on life and still stay standing, even if sometimes she has to make herself.
10. Getting a new roof put on my house finally makes me feel like a grown up....against my will.
11. I am a not-entirely-knowledgable technogeek that is far more plugged in to the world than I ever thought possible
12. Wishing Ron would die and actually having him die make me win Douche of the Year.
13. My kid is the new Sasuke Uchiha.
14. I love my friends more than ever and like my family less than ever.
Short, simple, but a random summery of an entire year. Now, time to get rid of it and start over
