Summary: It’s someone’s birthday, and someone has cupcakes ready
Here goes my first attempt at a fanfic!
“Come on, just take a bite of one.”
“No.”
“Come on, please?”
To everyone else but the screaming VIP’s, this would seem like just another day at the Big Bang house. It was rather quiet today because it was one of the rare days they had off, and many could feel the joy of the group as they could finally relax. Well, all of them but two, and they just happened to be a birthday boy and his stalker.
“Come on, I made them all by myse-”
“And that’s exactly why I won’t eat them.”
“But at least I didn’t let Daesung hyung help me.”
“I’m still not eating them.”
Ji Yong knew that the maknae wouldn’t give up easily, as he had learned the past few hours. Ever since he woke up and found Seung Ri in the kitchen with more batter stuck in his hair than what was in the bowl, he had to say, he was scared. Not just that, he had been stalked everywhere around the house with that goddamn container of cupcakes following him around every corner. He tried to get the others to help, but the only one left home was Young Bae, but all he did was chuckle at the situation before pulling down his hat for a nap. What a friend you are.
“PLEASE!?!?” he practically screeched in his air, balancing his confections carefully.
“I still don’t trust your cooking.” Ji Yong smirked as he saw Seung Ri pout and continue after him.
Seung Ri had already gotten his hyung a present, but he had sworn that he wouldn’t even let him near it until he at least takes a bite of his hard work. He knew that Ji Yong was stubborn and wasn’t going to eat one, but he could be equally stubborn … really, he could! With determination, he continued following Ji Yong around every corner of the house.
“Will you-”
“No.” he answered automatically. When his room came into sight, Ji Yong quickly leapt through and was prepared to slam the door into Seung Ri … if only that damn container was open. Then and only then … Well, he did have a right to lock him out right? They no longer shared the room anymore, though he had lost a rather squishy hugging object after that night ….
“Boom!” Seung Ri’s loud voice practically knocked out the thought from Ji Yong, making him glare at the maknae.
“Why do you want me to eat one so bad anyways?” he arched his eyebrow, waiting for an answer.
“ …Because …” he stopped suddenly. He really wondered, why did he want Ji Yong to eat one so badly? Was it because he made it? Or was it just an excuse to … “you’re not going to get your present unless you eat one! And they’re actually good!” he continued, trying to convince the older boy.
“I already bought it and everything! Hyung!” he started to basically whine now, and what could Ji Yong do but laugh? Seung Ri wasn’t taking this as happily as he folded his arms on his side and tried to give the best glare he could, but it came out absolutely adorable instead.
“Hyung!” Seung Ri pouted as he saw Ji Yong wasn’t going to cease laughing soon.
During the entire conversation, Ji Yong had unconsciously flicked his hand over the charm in his pocket that he had gotten from Seung Ri last year. Honestly, he really was curious as to see what his dongsaeng got him this year … however, should he risk it? The same boy who cooked once and only once, which had gotten him banned from the kitchen by Seung Hyun hyung …
Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Both heads turned and wondered if they should get it or let Young Bae handle it. Seung Ri wasn’t about to give up just yet though, little did he know that Ji Yong was already walking towards the door. Without realizing it, Seung Ri turned back and crashed … right into the birthday boy, sending them both tumbling to the floor.
Still reeling from the impact, Ji Yong slowly rubbed the back of his head as he slowly moved up into a sitting position. He immediately had to bite his lip to keep from laughing when he saw that the container had busted open and frosting had covered up the maknae’s entire body, a cupcake still lying on his head. He didn’t care that there was frosting on cheek, the sight in front of him made it all worth it.
“Aishe …” Seung Ri quietly groaned as he slowly opened his eyes, a tip of frosting lacing his eyelash and cheek. Being the cutest Ji Yong has ever seen them in his entire life, he let out one of the loudest laughs he could muster. Seung Ri immediately gave one of his adorable “glares”, but he couldn’t help but soften up when he saw the pure joy on his hyung’s face. Soon, the infectious laughter filled up the house as Seung Ri joined in and they just sat there laughing, a moment that they used to be able to only have as elementary schoolers.
Later than sooner, the laughter finally died down as the two boys gave a quiet chuckle at each other before Seung Ri suddenly looked up. Really, he had just taken a shower too. He reached up for the cupcake on his head and looked at it a tad sadly after realizing what just happened, something that didn’t miss Ji Yong’s gaze. Hearing the shift in front of him, he looked back up to see Ji Yong walking towards him. Kneeling in front of him, they stared at each other and locked gazes. Sooner than later, Seung Ri could feel heat rushing to his face as he turned away shyly.
“Hey, got something, on your face.” He gave his trademark smirk as he helped him up.
“You do too.” Seung Ri grinned back. In a sudden daring move that went against all rationality he had at the moment, he reach towards his hyung’s face and wiped it off with his index finger. Ji Yong’s breathe hitched when he watched Seung Ri raise his finger to his mouth and suck it gently, cleaning off the chocolate frosting in an instant. His eyes froze on his dongsaeng as he watched his tongue dart out to clean his digit.
“Hmmm … they are good.” Seung Ri smiled, suddenly making Ji Yong stop.
“Wait … this is your first time trying them ... You mean … you were going to feed me something that you haven’t even tried yet!?” he said in horror, as Seung Ri chuckled sheepishly.
“Well, I had wanted you to be the first one to try them.” His innocent smile made Ji Yong stop and sigh. Seung Ri’s gaze shifted back to the ruined cupcake in his hand and he couldn’t help it, tears started welling up. He didn’t know why, it just happened. All of the hard work he had put in for his hyung was ruined, and what he felt now was exactly the opposite of what he wanted. He knew a boy his age shouldn’t be like that anymore, but he couldn’t help it.
Ji Yong could see it coming, even though his maknae was already frantically rubbing his eyes. He stopped and stared once again at the boy in front of him. He could feel it welling inside of him. He didn’t know what it was, and he didn’t care. Right now was all it mattered, and right now what mattered was Seung Ri. The boy that had gotten up early that morning to bake him something, and was now crying over something as little as spilt cupcake.
“Seung Ri ah.” Ji Yong said quietly as the younger boy tilted his head up. The world seemed to freeze around him as Ji Yong gently wrapped his arms around him and held him tight. Even though he forgets it sometimes, Ji Yong was his leader, and he took care of all of them every single moment. Seung Ri buried his face into his hyung’s shoulder for a good while as they just stayed in that position. Moments after when he was sure that Seung Ri had calmed down, he quietly let go of the embrace, not without stealing a lick of the frosting that was at the corner of his maknae’s lips.
“Hyung!!!” Seung Ri cried in shock as Ji Yong just stood there and licked around his lips.
“ … Whoa, you’re right. You make good cupcakes.” He said simply before he gave a big grin, making Seung Ri just shake his head in hopelessness.
“I wonder who was at the door anyways?” they wondered as they stuck their head out the door. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Young Bae was still sleeping on the couch. They retracted their heads too quickly as they weren’t able to spot the smirk on his lips.
“I guess we’ll never know.” Ji Yong said in a dramatic tone, making Seung Ri laugh. However, he soon stopped and smirked a smirk that was one to challenge Ji Yong’s own smirk.
“You still don’t get your present.”
