(no subject)
I turned in my application for my studio today only to find that someone snatched it up during the weekend. So the man offered a one bedroom apartment then instead and showed me where it was and what it looked like. I did some paper work and reserved the spot for good so I know I have it this time.
I'm sooo excited!!!! It's another 100 per month, but he's giving me the first 2 weeks for free, so I get to save 300 that way. It's right next to the pool and the laundry place, and it's kinda hidden away, but in a nice little area and near the parking lot. And it's still directly across from the drama building. AND I get to move in June 1st rather than June 7th or 10th or whatever.
It's sooo nice. You walk in and to your right is a sink/vanity area, then the bathroom with another sink, toilet, and shower. Then straight ahead is the bedroom, which is a good size. Then to your left is the living room and the kitchen area -- both are also a good size. All for 645 a month -- pretty much the same price as the dorm apartments would be. So yay!
AND I have a job interview on Wednesday, which should go well. I was talking to Leah last night about needing a job and I guess Max just quit his. He would proctor exams, take notes for disabled students, and record himself reading books or whatever. Leah called her boss then this morning and got an interview for me Wednesday afternoon. I guess it'll mainly be them talking to me and then they'll record me reading a paragraph to make sure that I'm understandable. It sounds like it shouldn't be too difficult.
So yay! Things are kinda coming into place it seems. I'm really happy right now. I could go for a nap though.
